As much as anything else is.Why not just ignore trolls? I mean I know they can be fun to push back at, but is it worth getting banned?

Is that popcorn?
Overly articulate? Right. I've never looked up a word I read on a forum ever. Grandiloquence does not suit you.i like to be overly articulate and use large words so the have to at least look up their meaning and work for their jollies. And remaining calm generally ends with them leaving me alone. After all, what kinda troll wants to open a dictionary?
Only when i feel like i need to. If they don't look it up, they quite often look like the fool they are. If they don't then oh well. Not mine to own.Overly articulate? Right. I've never looked up a word I read on a forum ever. Grandiloquence does not suit you.
No. The point of the petition and what I believe most are trying to say, is why care about trolls in a Tolk-n-Talk forum? As long as the trolling does not spill out into the 'real' forum where people come to learn how to grow pot, who cares what trolls do? Seriously, what the fuck is the point?Ok, I am stoned but...
Arent you basically saying that you are incapable of playing by the rules and defeating the trolls and thus we must change the rules?
Once we change the rules and they keep beating you at the game, will you ask for the rules to be changed again?
It takes 2 people to have a tug of war.
If you do not make yourself a target the troll will get bored and move along.
The point I'm trying to make is that there is no problem. Only that the moderators make it a problem. So in this argument, yes, having the moderators back off a little would fix 'the problem'. -- The problem lies with a few pansies that take shit too personally and feel the need to rat people out -- the way to fix that is to make everyone aware the Tolk-N-Talk is an open space for people to converse, and there will be trolls.. deal with it. -- And not to tighten down on moderation.Personally? LOL!!!
Naah...
I like forums that are unmoderated personally....
Changing the rule or making a new rule will not fix the problem.
I dont know where you guys have been hanging out but Doc aint that good. An amateur really...

A good analogy to this would be the war on drugs. The US is tightening its clamp on marijuana, yet marijuana is more prevalent than ever. Just as it is here.. some mods are tightening down, yet trolling is more prevalent than ever. The solution? Fucking chillax a bit.. let nature run its course.. people will begin to chill, other members will learn to deal with the trolls.
That is my point. It's a good point. I am smart. Wicked Smart. I like apples. Bartel Dew Fucking Taco.
How about fair enforcement of rules and the firing of mods that go off into nonsensical tangents of nazi-like vendettas? There are rules. The moderators are trying to enforce the rules.
Your suggestion is that they sort of dont enforce the rules? That is a solution? Isnt that what has lead to so much bitching and hand wringing in the first place?
Here is my suggestion... Dont troll (unless you are good at it) and dont respond to trolls. Problem solved.
@ c4, is it jus me or is that ur dumbass on ur avatar? If it is, I think im going blind
Oh, my spelling is really like texting lingo, now I will not hear the end of it from all u perfrct ppl on here.
Its jus sooo funny how ppl who give other ppl shit about "trolling" do "trolling" themselves!
Sorry dude, but trolling is subjective to the person reading the comment. And yes, I'm asking the mod's to lighten up a bit, and no I'm not asking them to change the rules. I agree that if someone is blatantly harassing someone, something needs to be done. But if people are picking on each other or having little flame wars... let it be. Or find other ways to moderate it.. for example, instead of handing out infractions, why not simply delete the posts? There are rules. The moderators are trying to enforce the rules.
