1st Grow: Bag Seed Popcorn

Just placed my 7 seeds into a germination towel. I should see something in the next couple of days or so... maybe sooner.

What I'm working with:

== "Stealth" grow box - 2ft wide, 2ft tall, 1ft depth. Custom made out of ply-wood.
== (4) CFL's, 5600k (for vegging) - Will use 2700k for flowering.
== Bubbleponics system (3 site) from K Hydro Systems.
== Bagseed "popcorn" - has a lot of brown / reddish hairs.

Germinating 7 seeds, potting the 3 fastest ones. Others will be planted outside. I will be removing all males when they all show.

Below is day 5 - They've all sprouted out the top and I'm moving the lights down when I get home. They all look healthy so far.

Okay, I just finished the lights. Now there are (2) 5600k CFLs and (2) 2700k CFLs. They're hanging about 4 inches above the little troops.

Hey guys, the plants look amazing so far. Starting their second node now. roots are about 3 inches out of the cup. Think this is a good time for water change and add nutrients?

i wouldn't add any nutes yet let them get a little bigger and more leaves which can use the nutes

Alright, I just finished the water change and put in half the recommended amount of nutes. The root structure is huge already. One of them has it coming out of 8 spots on the net cup. Ill post pictures in a couple of days.

Doing good so far man, My G-13 haze seedling started to stretch because i didn't notice the beaner was caught on the tops of the leaves! Haha it's doing good now though. What type of nutes are you using?

What type of nutes are you using?

I'm not sure actually. The kit that I ordered from K Hydro Systems sent 2 zip lock bags labeled "Vegetative" and "Blooming". Says 1/2 TSP per 1gal Water.

I'm unsure as to what their "nutrients" actually are... what make them up, etc... I've looked everywhere on their website and have even tried calling them (no answer).

Anybody with some ideas?

Below is day 9 from germination. It is a little hot in the box... are they showing any signs of heat exhaustion?

Alright, it turns out the air stone was directly under the left side and was causing the plant to be drooopy.. I moved it between the left and center.

I also added a fan, I decided to push air into the box, since there are a lot of outlets for exhaust. It's MUCH MUCH cooler in there, maybe like 15 - 20 degrees?

Also, I adjusted the bulbs to where each plant has a 23W 5700k CFL directly on top of it (about 2" away). They are looking better already. I'll be doing a water change somewhat soon I think.

Below is day 14 - I've seen huge growth the last couple of days. I'm due for a water/nute change this Friday. The one of the left is perking up MUCH more than it was and the one on the right is yellowish. I'm looking into what that problem could be now...

Day 15 vegetation. Does this look typical?

5/10 - Another water change! I checked the water level today and it was 1/4 full! 2/3 TSP Nutes.
Shook the Co2 bottle (dry yeast & sugar).

I believe this is day 19 of vegetation (from sprout).

I plan on topping only 1 plant when it reaches it's first true 5th node. Topping it down to 2nd true node.

5/15 - New Hydro System, more water, more nutes, more space
Went to 1.7gallon DWC system from not even half a gallon.

The pictures don't look good because the plants aren't positioned to look pretty.. they are position to get optimal light.

Time for pictures! This is day 24 of vegetation. I'm waiting till they get a few 7 point fan leaves then I'm going to flower them. This if my VERY first grow, so I think I'm doing pretty good.. What you guys think?

im almost 7 weeks into my first soil
your plants look healthy

if you wanna try some good nutes get botanicare's hydro grow and bloom
and ive been using AN's bud candy and liquid carbo load and am very impressed

so far so good man, ill be checkin in from time to time

Out of the best of your opinion, if I was to switch to 12/12 right now and flower for 9 weeks, how much dry weight do you think I may get?

so hard to say... different strains do different stuff
and i wouldnt depend on that "9 week flower" because it varies too much
