Damn cops Fing with me

After getting my green card and mmj papers I felt great, I decided to set up a room and get to growing. I've grown in the past but stopped due to nosey neighbors, knowing your neighbors are actively seeking to see you get in trouble is just not worth the stress.. IMHO

so I set up my room, had the guy that put on my roof come back and re-install the roof vents that he covered when switching me to a ridge vent. This way I could vent out these vents without messing up the air flow in my attic. Well within an hour of the roofer leaving a cop parked across the street for 2-3 min.

They've been doing short to long stops in front of my house for a while, like once a month, but man today they just seem to be intent on messing with me. So far 5 police cars (4 different vehicles for sure). All did long stops in front of my house. pulled over on the side of the road facing my house and sat there for 3-4 min. They've been doing it all day. Now this could be coincidence, but a small plane that looks like one of the sheriffs planes did 3 fly overs of my house, turned around flew directly over my house. You know how those planes can slow down and fly over real slow? That's what this plane did, 3 times directly over my house, real slow.

Another cop just did it again but this one was a nearby town cop, I'm out of city limits so normally it's sheriffs vehicles.. however the nearby towns police respond to calls in my area when a sheriff isn't close.

I figured This kind of stuff would stop bothering me if I got my mmj card... nope still sucks lol. These cops don't seem like they would look at my paperwork and say sorry, they seem hell bent on seeing me get in trouble.

wow... couldn't even finish writing this before yet another sheriffs suv slowed and did a U-turn in front of my house, slowed to a stop in front of my driveway, then drove off. That's 7 cars today, and possibly a plane...

lol this green card isn't making me feel any safer than I did before... Maybe I should just buy my meds... I quit growing for over a year and I gotta say it felt so nice to not have to worry about getting busted.

I'm naturally paranoid about cops so I wouodve been had all my things packed, and ready to move out. But I guess if you feel safer buying it, there's no problem with that. Depending on where you are you can get your medication for dirt cheap.

So long as you are within the law, and have all the correct paperwork, and placards they can't do shit to you. Enjoy your grow, and when they come to your door with a warrant, show them your card, and offer a tour! Then laugh as they tell you "Nice grow!", and leave.

lol. Yeah, I'm a little worried. This intense of a swarming seems like they may be getting ready to pounce..

After the first two police cars did it today, I took a break and packed up garbage that had some clones that I tossed, and a few other misc scraps of recently thrown away grow materials. Then I took it to the dump.... HOWEVER at the dump a guy watches you throw away your stuff. I threw away a bunch or wood scrap and other non personal items, and a bag with some of the clones.. If that guy looked through my garbage after I left... they would have the probable cause they'd need. Huge error on my part, for my own piece of mind I should have held on to that one bag when I saw that guy. That's what he's doing, but looking for meth lab related materials I think, a police car used to come and sit at this dump, they even had a little reserved parking space for the police car.

I just got some Tangerine Dream seeds germinated and sprouted (2) and some reservoir Sour Diesel ( I do not want to throw those away.... I have a couple old blue cheese mothers a friend gave me that are pretty large. I think I might throw those two big ones out tonight, they look impressive to a laymen.

I am so torn... I have a card and paperwork so I shouldn't have to panic and clear my stuff out. I love growing, I love taking care of my plants.... I think what I'll to is get rid of the 2 large ones, toss my two worst sour diesel seedlings (just to help reduce numbers), and pick 1-2 of my other plants to toss, again to get my numbers down. I have a paperwork to be a primary care provider too but I could easily get to under my own limit of 15.

sounds like they are either trying to make you jumpy so you do something that is illegal, or something else is going on. are you in near a large city, or a smaller one? here in Mi, some cops are gunning for Pts/CGs, and others are Pts and CGs.

exactly! This is exactly what I think they'd do.

I do not believe that in front of a judge if they went strictly by the letter of the law I would not qualify. I do have legit back pain and have been going to the doctor about it for years, but it's mostly severe muscle tension.

The mmj card is nice and if the cops weren't dicks they'd look at your paperwork and leave, but there is no guarantee.

If you live in an apartment than they are more than likely looking for a meth/MDMA/ maybe even DMT (its possible...) lab. Marijuana growing for personal use isn't that big of a deal to most law enforcement in areas where there is "true" crime (i.e. Meth Laboratories, Domestic/Sexual Violence and assault, ect.). At least to what I see as "real" law enforcement officials, ones who are actually looking to help create a peaceful society rather than busting every person they can find for a nice ego boost and adrenaline rush. Like I said if your in an apartment or any kind of multi-complex and you are state certified to grow marijuana and are staying in the boundary of your personal limits, oh and of course not dealing/selling your marijuana to un-licensed individuals and/or illegal drugs to people than they are more than likely checking out a neighboring apartment... In which case watch out, most meth chemists are aware (usually very aware if their using their product) that the solvents they are working with are highly flammable and toxic but when a bust occurs and all hell breaks loose you could find yourself in a 4 bedroom instead of a 2 if you catch my drift... . Hell even if your not in an apartment they could be simple using your house as a decoy to watch a neighbor's. Honestly I would just go out next time you see them and confront them with your concerns. They can't bust you for simple asking what they are doing in front of your area of residence... An if they don't tell you than flash your card at them or do something to at least let them know they are wasting their time.

NEVER let them in without a warrant.

if they knock on the door, go outside and close the door behind you. do not stay holed up in the house, because if you make any noise, they can claim you are 'destroying evidence' and come in without a warrant (this case is being tried by the supreme court as we speak).

as others have said, they can take all your hit and destroy your house if you let them in or they come in with a warrant, and then you would have to explain it to a judge. little consolation there.

but the only way you can get in any trouble (besides being over your limit) is if they get the feds down there, which is unlikely.

but since you do not want them to rip up your entire house and take your shit and make you explain your legality to a judge, simply never let them in and do not approach them when they sit in front of your house.

but good advice. A big part of me wants to walk out there and just say "look you want to come in and get this over with?!?!" But that's not the right thing to do. For one thing, the laws may be changing here in my state (washington) here soon. So no reason to tell them or show them now while feeling all "legal" when in 6 months to a year the laws could be different.

from what i understand, your mmj law does not really protect you from state prosecution, it only gives you an affirmative defense in the case that you are prosecuted.

so, in that case, WATCH OUT.

Yeah, I swear if house prices weren't so low I'd sell my place and move to Oregon or Cali. I work from home anyway.. It's not like I have to live here. I'm sure most of you guys know what I mean when I say growing is kinda part of me and I don't want to have to stop doing it. It's fun and provides me with my smoke, saving me tons of money I'd have to spend to support my habit.

well, although I have paperwork to be a primary care provider for a friend, and paperwork for myself, I just bagged up a few to get me down to just a single persons limit of 15. This way if they do kick in my door I'll just have some seedlings that are only 3 inches out of the dirt and six 3 week old small plants. Nothing but small plants left now, and under my limit. So I'm off to make a covert dump run

My only other option is to clear it all out completely but I'm not ready to do that... hopefully it won't come down to going to court, there's the chance they'll look at my paperwork and leave, if they come to the door at all.

Seems like that should be enough to rattle most people, and if it wouldn't rattle you.. you have nerves of steel lol. I'm just gonna try best I can not to let it bother me, and stay below my limit.
