Newbie Help with Lights / Light Cycle

Hi all, I am growing auto flowers and was just wondering if they are o.k on a light cycle of 16/8 as they are in the same room i sleep and the fan noise is driving me mad, The other thing is how many plants can i grow in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0 meter grow tent with a 600w hps? it has good light coverage in there if i centre the light, Can i fill it up or only a few?bongsmilie

cant help you with your hps bro but i know some autoflower strains havnt been AUTO at all the 16/8 might be the next best thing besides the 12/12 but im not shur waqit for an experts opinion on this

As far as the HPS question, it depends on how long you are wanting to veg. Its pretty hard to answer a question like this with accuracy. I would say 4 large plants, up to 20 small plants, or anywhere in between.

Cheers mate, they have started to flower and are doing well, I would prefer to put them on a 12/12 but didnt know if autos need'ed more light? they have about 4 weeks left do uou recon i could start a 12/12 now (would get me a few more hours sleep lol)

No.......Keep atleast 18/6 or so they say im on 20/4 with mine..Get a couple of small fans instead of the big box fan and ull be able to sleep....

Ohh and i have 9 autos under 1 600 quatum ballast and cooltube only have it at 450 right now becuase there only 15 days old today but r between 6-8inches tall and starting there 3or4th set of leaves growing crazy daily...Next week will bump up to 600w when they r about to start flowering...12/12 will prob hermie or cuase serious probs with autos

O.k mate thanks, They seem to have exploded with growth in the last 5 days they have been on 16/8 so i think they might be allright. I got some small fans but im alight sleeper so its a bit of a nightmare
