Autoflower Cage Match: Round Two!

Yeah french. I don't agree that your plants are gonna die, I just don't think they're doing as good as they could be. for the record, when you flush, you're supposed to flush with a ild nutrient solution. I know it sounds weird, fixing nutrient lock with more nutrients. But it you flush with just water, you'll flush out all the nutrients and not replace them. So next time, flush with 1/8 - 1/4 strength nutrient solution.
I use a product be House and Garden called Drip Clean. It binds with salt in the soil and leeches it out. You use it every watering, and you only need .4 mL per gallon.
With this I only had to flush for three day instead of a week or two, to get a smooth crackle-free smoke that doesn't taste like fertilizer. Maybe look into it. I'd recommend to anyone. Works great for hydro too. Idk about DWC.

With no disrespect to the others (and more experienced growers), I have to humbly disagree about some flushing techniques.

From my own experience with over fertilization, you need to flush the soil with just plain water. I use 2x as much water as the size of the pot, for example: If you have a 5 gallon pot and need to flush it, you need to use 10 gallons of water to rinse out the soil. This is good enough to get rid of excessive nutrients. When it is time to water again, I then add my nutrients.

Some never flush,, others do every watering,, and all sorts of mixes in between. They all seem to work for the individual that's got a grip on a growing technique that works for them. That wasn't / isn't the issue here. This was about curing a sick plant making the application a little different.

From the info he's given,, pictures shown,, things he's done,, I think he could of just shot himself in the foot. (We'll see. Time will tell.)

No I don't think you shot yourself in the foot French. I think your fine. If your plant responded positively to the flush, it probably needed it, no matter what people say about needing to flush, or it being a fallacy.
There are different reasons to flush a plant.
If your flushing it to prepare to harvest, then you only need a plain water flush.
You can also flush because of toxic salt build-up/nute lock, or when your plants are showing deficiencies (due to nutrient lock ONLY, not actual lack of nutrient), this is when you should flush with a mild nutrient solution. 1/4 or so.
In general, you should flush every two weeks to a month no matter what cause of the fertilizer slowly building up overtime. This will help keep your plant healthy.
Don't forget to add a few drops of dish soap to your flushing and feeding water to make sure it fully saturates the soil and leaves no dry soil patches that kill roots.
Got any updates french? Oh and judging by what you said, you should feed your plants soon with FULL strength fertilizer unless your using miracle grow fertilizer or something with a lot of NPK (30-30-30 or something).

yeah.. itsux.. this was the fist plant i have ever lost and my first time working with real genetics... all the other plants i have ever had were from schwag and dank bagseed.. oh well... i think i eliminated my issue so this next run should be golden.. wish i wouldnt have grown out my fav auto strain first... lol... only regret i have... but oh well... i couldve have paid the same amount the seed cost for a book and learned some, but wastin a seed.. well, lol... i learned alot from her this past month.. more than i wouldve ever lerned outta book.. so the grow was a slight disaster (lol), but i learned enough to not make the same mistake... so it was worth it imo... later homies... next time ;)

Sorry that you cannot finish The Cage. Could you tell us the details on why your little lady couldn't make it so it will help others not to do the same thing?

@beansly
Unfortunately we need an updated list at your earliest convenience. Thanks.

soil issues... DO NOT USE MIRACLE GROW MOISTURE CONTROL RIGHT OUT OF THE BAG... my root got root rot within a matter of two and a halfish weeks... all i will suggest is to "treat" your soil before use... thanks guys... its been fun... this was my last public journal ever on RIU, so yeah.. best of luck to you all...
