fimming or topping makes it so you will have 2 top buds i believe, i havent tried it yet, but my bro has. its pretty sweet if i do say so. look it up more on here

fimming [1. Locate the very top of the new growth
....2. With a clean sterilized scissors, Fold the fan leafs over and cut approximately 80% of the new growth off the plant

it give's you more bud just another way to do it
gives u more bud than a 4 main cola plant?
It depends on several things including the strain.
There's some really good journals here you could browse through for the 'Hows and Whys'.
