:leaf:Since they are getting so tall I figured I'd top em to slow the upwards growth, but I'm thinking it's too late for that right? They've been growing nearly an inch a day! I'm just worried that I won't have enough room height wise in the end! :leaf:
I made the same mistake, I let my plants get too tall before flowering not taking into consideration the available space and the growth during flowering. I burnt the heck out of some beautiful buds, beginners mistake and a waste of buds. If you top once you are well into flowering you are removing potential bud sites, sometimes you have to do things, even if it is not good growing practices.

I'm pretty much in the same situation. My first grow and had no idea how big they'd get, and didn't really expect so many to germinate and survive. Of course topping made them bushier. On 5th week 12/12 and the tallest is 24". The vertical growth slowed down quite a bit after about 15 days since the flip.
If you have the vertical space you should be ok. Maybe add a couple of CFLs down low if they get really tall.

Just curious, why are you going drip?
:leaf:Next crop I might just because it's hard to reach the ones in the back without moving some of the ones up front out of the way. :leaf:

:leaf:5th day of week 2 into flowering schedule.
Some close ups and profile shots of what I consider to be the best plant, it's mostly right under the led, one of the biggest not tallest and bushiest ones with many bud sites.

I had the same issue plus wanted them raised so I wouldn't need to strain my bad back tending them. I built a turntable for a cost of less than $50 which solved that problem. Pics are in one of the later entries in my journal (link in sig).

:leaf:Very kool and good idea! I've got a bum back as well, and that would make things easier. :leaf:

those are some nice ladies!!
i normally prefer short and stout lol, but the leggy ones sure grab my attention.
those will be some to handle from what i see.
are you growing vertical or doing a scrog?

cpl post back you stated t was hard to access back of tent. that is a major problem for sure. heres how i solved that one

013.jpg055.jpg070.jpg016.jpg

i built a table/support from 3/4 pvc and a handfull of T fittings, installed some coasters, fabed up a removible scrog frame. try moving 6 full grown plants all scrogged togeather any other way. i roll it out do maintenance, and roll her back in. this may be hydro but you could do same with soil e&f or anything.

:leaf:Just growing vertical, I think I might try scrog next time but idk for sure yet. I think I'm going to do a sea of green type of thing next tho. Have my 5 or 6 in flower and same for veg and clones, just so long as I keep it under my 15 limit. Going to reinvest in 2 of these lights http://www.hydroponicshut.com/pro-grow-260-watt-led-grow-light.html and go 100% led and use my t5s for cloning and veg. Going to convert my closet in the grow room to the cloning/veg room, as they won't give off any smells or require the closed off space that flowering does. I think 5 or 6 in flowering in my 4'9"x4'9" tent will do better than 15 for sure. But it's my first time around and I am learning from this crop. I could do a rolling table like yours but there's a lip on the front of the tent that would prevent me from rolling it out to work on them. :? Next time I'm going to crop them before flowering and try to keep em short and fat, as they will have more space to grow. Also going to try to keep the lights close early on, a mistake I did this time that I'm sure contributed to their legginess, less inter-node spacing would be better. I'm thinking that Al Dente's idea of a turntable might be the best option for me. A giant lazy susan! I thought I was on track with my nutes schedule and looked in my calendar book to find out they were supposed to get them Sunday, was busy that day and spaced it out so I gave it to them last night. Only 3 days off but that is half a week just about.

if smells are a problem better plan on a scrubber for the vag chamber, i thought the same thing and was bad wrong lol. aftre 2nd week of veg its very obvious in my garage that there are pot plants. i hooked a 4in flex to my tent and now it scrubbes the veg room through the tent. jmo.
yea my tent has a lip that makes it a bitch to get it out but i only pull out once a month or so. for the benefit its worth it. the lazy susan sounds cool.

Too true, my situation is the same, mommies+vegging plants and high humidity equals stinky stinky...

:leaf:Mine started stinkin' maybe a week after I put em into flower, idk we'll have to see if it's a problem when I get there. :leaf:
I guess a lot of it depends on how many there are and how big they are, also what strain they are. Thinking about it I have always tried to pick less smelly strains but never got away from it.

:leaf:Yea, mine's skunk #1 so I'm sure it'll get plenty of stinky soon. :leaf:

:leaf:The girls are looking amazing, still leggy but if you look at them from the top down all bud sites have their place and don't look too spaced out. Pretty little starts of buds all over the place. The tallest one is pushing close to 40 inches tall. The 2 under the LED in the front are shorter than the others under the t5, light penetration seems to be further down, under the LED. Been watering with nutrients once a week, then every other day with plain, purified, pH balanced water. :leaf:

:leaf:The heat isn't too bad actually, I had to put a lil 4 inch fan on the floor pointing up underneath the lights and it's been very stable temps and humidity. Also have a 6 inch fan up top blowing down on top of the lights, and my 8 inch oscillating fan at mid canopy. but yea they definetly throw some heat just a very manageable amount. Overall I'm happy with the t5s but could do so much better with 100% LED. I noticed that a couple of the top buds under the t5s got a tiny bit singed from heat, they've been growing about an inch a night, starting to slow down a bit now tho. :leaf:
