it looks like a pod, I get those on some plants it may or may not have a seed in it but yes that is a seed pod (looks like one at least)
cool... it feels kinda hard, but i'm afraid to squeeze it too much and destroy it. i'm gonna let it dry naturally until the outer skin comes off and see what happens.
thats cool, i did not know about that, see, you learn new stuff on here all the time, LoL.
no kidding dude. i learn at least 3 things every day, and then forget 2 of them, so works out about the same
very tough to tell when they're fresh.... I can see a small dent on the thing inside the pod on the close up of it still on the plant, it looks so smooth and round inside there. that's why made me think seed right away. my fingers are crossed for ya!! and if it's not seed it's THC!!! it's a win-win!
haha, that's funny. i'll try to get high off that thing if it isn't a seed, and if it is a seed, i'll let you name the plant, since you're the one who discovered it. i would assume that this type of immaculate conception results in female plants, so start thinking of girlie names...
A seed pod? Interesting. I've never seen anything like that on a female plant.
well, makes more sense than a seed on a male plant, that's for sure
springs outdoor crop in my area developed a lot of them, (placed outside in a ghetto greenhouse when the temps were semi tolerable) I have no idea why it happens but like I said it happens to me sometimes no underlying common factor's I have seen besides the fact they were all temp stressed a bit at times but that wouldn't explain it not for the level of stress in fact.... I think the some kinda diesel has a pod on one of the main colas! (hell it's bansai trained they are all main colas practically) I need a magnifying glass... dollar tree I go, I'll try to take a pic in the next few days or get a loupe and show ya mine unless it's a survival seed it's just a normal pod where a seed would develop but never got the rest of the stimulus required although if she did make a survival seed I would be very happy as I lost her mother and need to reveg her in order to maintain the strain.
that is very cool hippie. for sure post your seed pics here. i know my plants had some heat stress, especially toward the end. i couldn't manage my temps very well and it got into the hight 90s a few of those days. they were very dry around then too. then i started watering more often, turned off two lights, and kept the box door half open. that seemed to revive the plants and make them shoot new pistils (this was around week 6-7 of flower). so, i guess all that stress and confusion might've led to a survival seed. or maybe it's genetics. or maybe it's just wishful thinking and it's not really a seed at all, lol. anyway, feel free to post your pics here bro.
I call it a seed, but it may not be a fully developed seed. I got a few "survival seeds" off a bag seed I grew out this winter of 09/10. Out of like 5 only one was mature, so I kept it. Down side, the plant flowered for 12 weeks and never went amber, so I chopped her and was still decent smoke. So I am thinking a strong sativa maybe, or I really F'ED up in my noobness, LOL! I hope it's viable for you, would be a sweet gem, and you would know that when you grew it out again you could let a few buds go longer and they should do the same thing, kinda like a reveg, but only for seeds.
interesting idea gumball. a re-seeding, so to speak. that's cool that you got the same thing in your plants, even if only 1 of 5 was mature. if i had to guess, i'd say this "seed" was probably not quite mature when i chopped, and if i'd thought about it, i might've let that one branch/cola go longer. but anyway, time will tell what happens with it, i guess. and i have time on my side right now, waiting until the g.f. forgets how long it's been since my last grow, so it's all good
now on to stoney's thread, i hear there's a-choppin' to be had...
