I work as an engineer at a company that designs and manufactures chemical and pollution testing equipment. We use ozone to destroy all toxic gas after testing in our gas analyzers. Im talking about the most corrosive acids and chemicals in the world and when you expose it to high concentration ozone the ozone eats it alive and leaves only its harmless counterparts behind. this being said the ozone can then be diluted and expelled into the atmosphere with no ill side effects that the other gases would have caused. In short ozone in high concentrations ozone "WILL" eat out your lungs but used properly it is perfectly safe.

I'm sorry, but I'm not buying what you're peddling. That's like saying if cigarettes are used properly they're perfectly safe. Or Avid being properly used is perfectly safe.

OK, both Pros and Cons have been discussed here.
What it boils down to is each individual must make their own decision.

I think it's time to close this thread.

With all due respect, it might be best give it up. The arguments you're providing aren't convincing anyone that ozone isn't harmful. Yeah sure ozone is still used many places, but that doesn't mean it's healthy to be exposed to, especially long term. Remember how people used to think exposure to asbestos wasn't harmful to a persons health? Or thought low level exposure was OK?

Dude, will you knock it off already? the only time you want the discussion to end is when you have the last post.... You've been told several times that it can be used safely..... is gasoline dangerous? yes, it sure can be.... but used as intended, it is beneficial to us.... You are right, we all must make our own decisions.... you've made your point, several times.... I'm only here stating this again because you seem to want to have the last word and it ain't happening.... Go google ozone generator.... you'll find more good it does than harm.. :roll:

And if you want to be technical, the OP asked about personal experience with OZ generators, he didn't solicit opinions or warnings about their safety... You also had an engineer with a degree tell you that they safely use ozone....

And i would recognize respiratory distress in an instant, being that I run 2 miles a day :roll:

No disrespect meant to anybody, but a person can claim to be in any profession they want when they're sitting behind a computer. Don't mean nuthin.
Ozone is still harmful. You've said it yourself. Without re-reading all the posts, I think even the people who support the use of it all agree that it's harmful.
Also, you took my statement of "case closed" out of context. Case closed - meaning everyone seems to agree ozone is harmful, including, well, you.
Pretty simple. No need to go so overboard now is there?

It sure looks like part of the question to me....

I heard some of these things may harm your plants or even yourself. Is it worth keeping this thing because im thinkin about sellin it and buying something that may be more useful. Does anyone know or have something similar to this one and have had results?

If you are set on buying one, avoid at all costs the white one with a plastic case..... you know the one, they are all over ebay.. Look for the CAP-1 and spend no more than $130 with shipping included.... This is where I got mine...

Again I'm sorry I missed your questions.. :( EZ Hydro is real reliable, and they ship discrete. They tend to be a lot lower on pricing too.
