I have 10 feminized plants, all with pretty healthy growth. All organic soil grow, I'm just unsure when I should flower. They were all been transplanted into 3 gallon pots about 2 weeks ago. Height ranges between 6 and 9 inches. Space is not an issue, 10 by 13 ft room. The only real limiting factor is the 1,000 watt light.

I've never grown this many plants at once, thank you for help +rep

Looks to me like you need to move that light up just a hare, your plants looks like they got a little bit of heat stress going on!Whats your temps right above plants?I would give them 2 more weeks in veg tho then flush before going into flowering to get rid of any salt build ups

they look pretty good! the light looks a little low, not because of the looks of the plants health, but size. by raising the light, you'll increase the size of your footprint. try rotating the plants position under the light, and place something under the bags so the canopy of all plants are even. this will promote equal growth eventually. since vertical growth isn't an issue, i suggest flowering around 12". the plants will eventually catch up with each other if you keep the canopy even. 10 plants is a big number, it's not too late to scrog.

well done. i would veg them another month or so and transplant to 5+ gallon pots. get them maybe 24" tall, more if you can. top/fim/lst them to max out your yield. then put them on the 12/12.

what strain are your plants?

Strains are following: 6 OG Kush, 1 Northern Lights Blue, 1 Super Lemon Skunk, 1 Bubble Cheese, 1 Headband. Bought off Attitude Seeds, no problem with t-shirt shipment.

Lights 20 hrs on, 4 off. To help extend the life of the ballast.

Grown with Subcool's super soil 2010 recipe, only watering with tap water, left out at least a day to evaporate chlorine. I'd recommend this to new growers, good way to avoid nute burn.

I did move the light up since. I'm really still experimenting with my grow setup, it, My 2nd grow. The light is now 17in away from canopy. I only had the light so close because the heat has been no issue lately. But I do agree it was too close. With my 432 cfm fan cooling the light no problem. Temp at the canopy ranges from 63*-73*

I know what that one thing did stress the plants. I had the plants on a 14" in high table before. But the table actually gave out and almost all my plants spilled. It also knocked out the power cord to the fan, for up to 24 hours they suffered being spilt and very high heat.

But since then the temp has not gona above 72* degress.

The plant which is showing the best gorwth so far is the Headband, this may be because it was the only plant not to fall over.

Heights now range between 6 and 10 inches.

I am doing 11 plants right now under a 1000watt in 4 gal buckets. Grow area is 6.5 x 6.5........ I started flowering mine about 18" They are perfect height now but a little bushy crowded.

have a look man

Thanks alot for the info!! =] really what I was looking forward. Just actually seeing all plants in the 3 gallon pots under the light, It's hard not to worry how big they'll grow when fully flowered.

Won't be messing with 5 gallon pots for a couple grows. I used them my first grow and kind of regret it. Theres so much to mess up on and learn from the first couple grows. I ended flowering only 3 plants under the 1k light, it was a mess. I with I had spent less time on the first crop. In my view its better to get the first grow over with a little faster. It's especially hard to be patient when beginning to gorw. But that's just my experience, 5 gal work great for many people.

I'd like to crop out more often though, even if a smaller yield.

The issue really is, how tall do you want your plants to be. With a 1k light you have effectively 3 foot and some change vertical (because of lumen drop off beyond that distance) then nothing but popcorn and then die off below that distance from the light with the canopy in the way. Then the next question is, do you inject co2? They can become unexpectedly tall with co2 injection. I have seen flower start with 9 inches and end up being nearly 3ft. If you use co2 then try it at about 12-16 inches if not I would veg them til about 22-24. Hope this helps

Thank you, my initial plan was to grow them to 1 ft tall then flower, fiuring they would grow up to 3ft when fully flowered. I was just wondering if the 1k light would be enough to fully flower all 10. Also I have not added co2 to my grow.

I think if light isnt enough towards the end I'll throw in a 600 to the side.

24 ft square is about as big as you want to go with a single 1k light, so if you can fit them all in that space you will probably be fine. A 1k light is about 130,000 lumens roughly, so 130,000/ 24 = 5416 lumens per square foot as a rough guide. keep it inside 5x5 or you will need that extra light.
