Yeah, early plants tend to be a little leafy, probably why it hit rough for ya, but awesome! Yeah, the bongloads I snagged this morning (2 mini bowls, 2 hits each) had me soaring for hours after I woke up, definately gotta watch the wake and bake if I wanna be able to function properly for the first few hours of the day...lol...Awesome for days off, and I'm loving how long I stay high...Taking a bunch to vegas, thats the stuf I chopped, but the rest of the plant is coming down next Sunday after 72 hour dark period.

last time i went to vegas i was 17 and couldnt really do shit but Now i can enjoy myself if you know what i mean

Dude, I'm going to Vegas in 5 days, and since I turned 21 (27 now) I have made Vegas my vacation destination, it's off the hook brother...If you love crazy long nights of getting fucked up and a wicked party scene, it's the spot...and gambling too!!! I can't wait till the chop either, especially since it's gonna mean I have something to smoke on when I get back from vegas and am broke for 5 days till I get paid again...lol

Man, I love that movie, haha, I can't wait, it's been so long since I've taken a vacation, and this is the longest I've taken off work in three years, just been saving that paid vacation time...lol...I'm taking 9 days off, and thats only a third of my vacation time, so I'm planning on taking some for the MedCanCup in San Fran too! I just have so much to square away in the garden before I leave!

So, after germinating 19 of the 20 seeds I put into paper towels, and putting those into SOLO party cups with 70% Kellogg Patio Plus, 30% Perlite, I'm happy to say that 13 of the 19 are now above soil, and about half of those have shed their shells. I'm totally pleased with the progress so far...Too bad the Kushage seed never germed, I got impatient and manually cracked it today, lol, so I don't think there's much hope for it!

And other exciting news! Of the 18 clones I took some time ago, 8 are showing roots! (I sorta fucked up one, so lets call it 7) So now those need to go into party cups tomorrow. Also, tomorrow I'm putting lefty into 3 days of darkness. So I think I just want to put these party cups into flower in stages, probably starting tomorrow with 1 or 2, and I'll veg the others till it's their turn, resulting in larger harvests as time goes by.

Maybe a perpetual is in the works, at least I've been playing with the idea of running 30 plants in 1 gallon pots, just going zero veg with the clones, and putting 3 clones a week into the flower room...Sorta like stoney's thursday night chop, except 3 plants a week, and running them till 10 weeks. I don't think this is a possibility until my outdoor plants are big enough to take clones off, so I can start several different mothers in my veg cab. Need to build a cloner, gotta figure a lot of stuff out, but I think it would be a fun project, especially if I have like 6 different mother strains to pull clones from.

Whatcha all think???? Think that might be getting myself in too deep with the CFL's? I hope I win some money in vegas, cause I have some ideas for the grow...

oh man, sounds like an ambitious plan for sure, but if you have the time and energy for it (and hopefully some vegas money), then why not give it a shot. i was just telling my friend tonight that growing has become my new favorite hobby, and it would be the best thing to do if i were retired lol, but work just makes it too hard to do it as much as i would like, realistically. but bro, congrats on the seeds breaking surface, and on the roots breaking ground or whatever you would call what roots do. it's awesome, and i bet the other seeds and clones will also come through for you. i'll be glued watching what you do with all these plants . and great to hear about your plans for san fran medcancup, that will be a legendary occasion, i'm sure!!

Yup, lots of seedlings and clones and hydro and soil and indoor and outdoor and 12 strains alive at the moment(Including Lefty)...lol...wow, when I lay it all out like that, it does seem a little ambitious to start a 30 plant perpetual, but I think I have the space, it's all about finding a strain whose clones grow into decent single colas with zero veg, so I can pack 'em in there tight...I dunno, it'll be a while to say the least...Long enough to make clones from the outdoor grow into mothers, so a couple months at least...But with all the plants I have going right now I don't think a few month wait will be a problem, especially since I already have 5 seedlings, some clones, and the 2 little plants in veg that are indoor dedicated, not to mention the 2 in DWC that have 6-10 weeks left in flower. Then the 18 (or however many break the surface and grow, 14 at the moment), and some more clones vegging are for the outdoor op...man...think thats too many plants? I mean,i'm definately gonna be over my legal limit if all these seedlings survive, I need another patient or 2 to join my co-op STAT! haha...I might have to pay for a couple buddies to get their 'scripts, ar at least nudge them in the right direction since they're lazy stoners...lol

That is an ambitious plan Meta. I would be interested in seeing how that worked... That is so complicated I would have to stop getting high to run the operation, and what fun would that be? Seriously, it sounds very cool. I am interested in the logistics of a perpetual grown.

I think it would be more about getting my mothers squared away and refining my cloning technique. But the perpetual would just consist of putting 3 clones in flower every week, and harvest them at 9 or 10 weeks of 12/12...30 plants divided by 10 weeks = 3 plants a week. I'm guessing the trick is always having rooted clones on deck to throw into flower, and as long as I don't miss a week, should be cool...asuming all the strains I wanna run finish within 10 weeks of 12/12. But once again, this is months down the line.

P.S.-The Kushage seed that I manually cracked last night, the one out of 20 that didn't germ by itself, looks like it might be trying to throw a root out, and I should know by the end of the night if it's going in soil or going in the garbage...But it looks promising

Ok, so lots of stuff has been going on over in MetaLand as of late...We'll start off slow. I've been getting ready for the 2011 outdoor season, so here's a bunch of seedlings that are scheduled to go outside.


I just took a few pics, there are some more above the soil that still haven't shed their shells, but looking like they will soon. These little seedlings I started a while ago and they're probably gonna be indoors, but depending on how many of the seeds I just sprouted survive, I might use them as back-ups. Also, 3 clones I planted today, they had roots up the wazoo!


And here are a couple plants I started...I dunno...a few weeks back.

And on to the juicy stuff...Here's a peek into the flowering cab, it's not gonna look like this after tonight, since Lefty is going into darkness,so I though I'd take a couple pics to savour the moment.


The DWC plants are doing really well!! I can't wait to see how they do later into flower, but they're nice and healthy, if I do say so myself! I really dig the DynaGro nutrient line, I think I'll stick with them for a minute.

meta, i wish i could give out more than one "like" per post, because there's a lot to like about that last update. lefty is so ripe and ready! all the little seedlings and big seedlings and dwc plants are looking excellent, especially the ones with dyna-gro, very perky green. what else can i say man? i think you'll be fine with the watering issue, sure they'll look a little droopy but they'll recover. my chop is probably gonna be late on sunday (like midnight, or whatever time we get back from tahoe) so if you're still up we'll share the chop experience and if not, we'll discuss it on monday . lights just went off on my girlie girls, now we play the waiting game..................................................................

if you have certain plants that dry out a little faster than the others cant you just pour a little extra water in a pant underneath the pot or would this not be a good idea ? What I did when I left was do a good watering the night before I left and topped it off in the AM just before I walked out the door. My cab temps were high so my plants sucked water up like a sponge but even then I was able to go 2 days between watering. You will be fine man...


And on to the update...... Holy shit! Thanks for the bib warning on that one. Looks like you are gonna have a nice little personal smoke selection there. Summer is gonna be a blast man! I will check in here again before you bounce out to VEGAS!!!!

Ok, got a lot done tonight. I moved the to bigger plants in veg to the flowering cab...I transferred 12 more clones to party cups It took a while, but 17 of the 18 clones I took rooted for me, and hopefully they'll all be fine. Now what am I going to do? I also transplanted 3 of the "older" seedliings from their party cups to 2.5 gallon pots, including the seed my girl found in a sack from a dispensary...There is no room at all in my veg cab, with all the seeds i sprouted, all the clones, and the three new 2.5 gallon potted plants. All this because I needed to get a few things squared away before I leave town. Also I think I'm about to get my hands on some skywalker seeds, and when I get back from vegas I might sprout a few more seeds to make up for the ones that didn't make it.
