CO2 during last weeks

i am sure this has been answered and debated. but search is pulling up nil

is it better to keep the co2 on during the last 1-2 weeks or turn it off?

I've read that in the final weeks co2 levels should be reduced to normal ambient levels. Supposedly it inhibits ethylene production, which is what signals the plant to finish.

i turned it off because they were not ripening and were stretching (new veg growth out the top)

they are now ripining up. at 8.5 weeks now. getting impatient to finish...still a lot of white hairs and clear tricomes
agent orange and white majic strains.

would rather have fluffy buds than mold
see, i turned the co2 back on, but that ment that the exhaust would be off during the night....led to high humidity at night and well i got mold on 3 colas.
lost about 1/2 oz.

sometimes i should listen to myself instead of RIU.

Everyone i've talked at numerous grow shops have told me to cut your co2 and cool your room down (if possible) the last to weeks.

There's ton of reports that say leaving c02 on, till the end reduces potency, personally i would turn it off after 4 weeks into flowering

Hmm this is very interesting. Certainly makes more sense then the other non sense reasons ive read on the other 50 threads such as this one.

Do you have any more creditable information on this by any chances?. Would love to read up on it.

No, then you don't have it during peak flowering when you need it most. Reduce levels the final weeks, with the final week at ambient levels.

Yes. 4 weeks is much too early. IMO turn off CO2 right around 2 weeks before harvest. I do not have any saved information on why you do this. I believe that the ethelyne production is inhibited, as well as certain terpintines and other poperties of cannabis that create smells, flavors, and colors. Turning CO2 off too early will decrese your total ending yield. CO2 has no effect on THC concentration.

Look no one knows for sure, but i have read time and time again c02 reports of it reducing potency and if you use it in just say the first 4 weeks of flowering and you do it right your yeild is gonna be phat as hell anyways. I used C02 pucks before i had 50 of them and right in there directions it says not to use past 3 weeks off flowering i followed directions so i dont know. But still a few of my plants leaves were like jurasic park... Like they were juiced up Hardcore on roids man, no way did they look natural lol. So i dunnu havent used c02 in a while i would love to buy a generator since gas is included in my assocoation payment but i use 2 tents and i leave basement window opend for fresh air i dunnu man is it worth it id keep it outside the tents.

if you are seriously thinking that c02 hurts your yield or potency then what about all of these ppl on here who run perpetually? if you have multiple crops in the same room you cant turn it off.

He's not saying that it hurts yield he knows that yield is increaed by co2. He is wrong though in saying that co2 reduces THC concentration. That is not true and, as I already stated, you say there's tons of reports that show that co2 reduces THC concentration. Please show me one of these reports. Some Scientific Research tht supports your claims.

I have read that it can delay maturity. Mostly
Because of low ethylene production. That was gleaned from maximum yield or urban gardener or somewhere like it.
