Fox Farm vs. Bulk Soil Deliverey.

Is Fox Farm soil so freakin' awesome, that it's better than calling my local nursery for a truckload of soil? Won't I have good results (soil wise) either way?

I'd go with your local nursery. It's cheaper and will serve the same purpose. No matter what soil you get, you will still have to keep the soil fertilized. All the nutrient that are in FF soil get used up with in a month or so. You may as well just go with the nurdery soil and use FF Ferts.

You can get really good local soil mix's, or really bad! How lucky are you?

I've never had a bad grow from FF. I've read some horror stories from local brew's.

I'd say if you can find someone with first hand experience, that can recommend someone.

Otherwise, roll the dice!

I'll spend the money, too much at stake. There are certain things you just can't gamble with. You only get 1 shot with your soil.

Good luck

I agree...There is nothing like the old (4)Peat Moss, (2)Cow Compost, (2)Mushroom compost, (1)Vermiculite, and (1)Pearlite mix....Use this with some Fox Farm Nutes and/or Organic Compost Tea and this is all you really need.

yea, man, I love FF ,but at 200-250 per yrd bagged vs 35 yrd+ ammendments, you can put all the good stuff you want in it, and still come way ahead. I use FF for starting stuff, and on smaller indoor grows, but if you need more than a yrd of soil, you have to mix it yourself IMO.
