"has ne1 here grown the ak48s from nirvana? im 2 weeks into plant on fri n im only at like 1.5" tall n my 2 starter leaves (round) havnt fallen off n i got 2 sets of lil fan leaves... im jw cuz i no they spose to b small (space was an issue so i got these) but i heard they finish quick 2! so even tho im reassuring myself that its early n i need to b patient, im hopn i dint kill my plants thnx RIU"

Seriously.. what the fuck is this guy trying to say?

Here's another example..

"nvm im bein stupid lol to much bud lol i know everybody dont know slang, i hate it when ppl ask me shit like whats a "dougie" or whats "a bird" or stupid shit like that, BITCHS YALL GOT THA INTERNET..."

Come on. I understand that we're pretty laid back but at least TRY to type so that anyone over 15 can understand what your trying to say.

You young people don't run the world yet & you still need to impress old bastards like me to get a job, loan, apartment, house ect. & this isn't cutting it. If you talk like you type your fucked in life unless you're gonna go all "Gangsta" in which case your def fucked.

Ok.. that was my rant.. now back to the weed.

i blame it on texting.
no one typed in that manner until text messages became everyones main means to communicate. it's like a communication "tick". i guess they do not realize that in forums your not trying to save space and quick type. and also take into consideration that 1 out of 5 people are window lickers.

Words have specific meanings for a fucking reason.
We developed language in order to accurately communicate with each other.
I feel yer pain and I personally just don't interact with those who are too fucking lazy or stupid to carry on a lucid conversation.

I remember in computer class back in the day, I would get bitched at all the time.......and not for stupid text typing. Too much or not enough spacing, wrong or missing punctuation....etc.

The other thing I hate is when people are asking a question about growing, and they list everything they got, their nutes, EVERYTHING. But they write a fucking wall.

50 lines, no spacing and missing punctuation. I automatically skip those posts. I'm not gonna strain my damn eyes......next post please.

Ufortunately, we who know and actually use basic rules of grammar are few in number. Really, you don't have enough time to use a period or comma between thoughts? Sadly, most of the people that abuse language also fail to realize that the rules are there for a purpose, and don't neccesarily need to be followed strictly; you can bend the rules to create desired effects, but they decide it's not worth the effort and stick with their ignorant rhetoric that only creates expressions of idiocy for them. If anyone has seen the movie Idiocracy, then just wait because that scenario is becoming closer to reality every generation; and its first signs are starting to show with the degradation of language and the arts.

i agree with the op. i'm a bit of an english nazi in real life but i do realize it's "only the internet". being lazy with spelling and even punctuation (to an extent) doesn't bother me. but why do people go out of their way to come up with alternate spellings for every word they type just so it sounds more like when they speak? words like dis n dat, using a "z" instead of an "s", saying "tha" instead of "the"...wtf is that shit? and typing a wall of text without a single period or comma. not to sound like a cunt, but when you're literate, reading a single sentence with 4857 words in it doesn't register as anything but a pile of blahblahblah. it doesn't qualify as communication.

edit: this is coming from someone who has basically given up on the use of capitalization on the forums except for emphasis. there's just gotta be a limit, ya dig?

Here is another FINE example of what I'm talking about. Tell me how this fucking guy is going to find a job & keep it with this sort of language skills. The only saving grace for him is that I suspect he's about 15 years old judging by his posts.

With the obvious huge amount of experience you have, I was hoping to get some advice from you. You see, I had this idea for making $210 off an OZ. I was going to soak them before selling them to get the weight up. What was your feelings on this? I tried to follow your thread on the topic but it seems to have a lock on it... Im a noob here so I'm not sure what that means. Perhaps it means that you have the topic locked up?

Anyways, any advice you could pass on would be great.

ps. do you live under a bridge?

Please, read some of this guys other posts. They are pretty funny really.

The intelegent responce:

"dude you must be slow, tht ounce thread your refering to, once again have to prove some retard wrong b.c they like talkin junk. wet it then re cure it. not to get weight up. to get the smoke more pleasurable. and also me n a couple of my friends use this account so watch who ur comin at b.c u nvr know if its the person ur refering to. apology accepted"

yeah i dont understand either, when people shortened words for texting on older mobiles, yes i could understand because you used to have to press the same button to go through 3-4 characters, now most phones have full qwerty keyboards, as do the actual keyboards they still seem to keep this 'trend' going on the internet.

surely its just as easy to type the full word? sometimes they even abbreviate a word but actually keep the same amount of characters in it, or extend it and spell it wrong?!

Here's my take.

I write so that it is as easy as possible for anyone to read and understand what I am trying to express.

In short, I write to the audience.

As such, whenever I see a post written in unintelligible gibberish, or in paragraph-long sentences; I simply assume that the writer did not intend for anyone to actually read their offering.

I may try to digest a difficult to read post, but if it becomes too difficult to translate; I let it go and move on.
