Ok, so lots of stuff has been going on lately. I've been sick, hence too lazy/tired to post any sort of decent update, but I've still been working a little in the garden.
Anyway, here is a long overdue update, we'll start with the flowering tent. Lefty has now been flowering for 8 weeks today, I'm thinking I can let her go another week, but I'm loving the purpling and just been feeding her water.
And here is Little Sprout in her DWC home, didn't take a picture of Behemoth, but she's lurking in the backround, and you can see her in the Flowering Chamber video

And I took some pictures of the Vegetative cab, but I think the video is good enough here, it pretty much sums up the way of things. There are 18 clones in pH'd rockwool under that dome, the sprouts are a few days old, and the 2 seedlings who barely survived their transplant from party cups and are enjoying life in the 2.5 gallon pots...One has some twisting of the leaves, but I'm not stressing out over it. All in all I'm happy with the way things are going, hope the clones root.

Ok, I feel somewhat vindicated for my lack of tangible updates, hope ya'll enjoy, if I let Lefty go one more week, the clones might root by then(hoping!) and if I free up all that room in the flowering cab, I'll be ready to start setting up for a SOG.

Haha, naw bro, to each their own, thats whats great about growing...Every grow is individual and special in it's own way! I love the wardrobe, and it's definatley got me beat on stealth and probably takes up a hell of a lot less space than my grow. Anyway, you got the jump on me as far as outdoor goes, I'm not germing till April 1st, but it's gonna be fun to see how that one plays out too!

crap! i started looking at the pics and drooled all over my bib. that was a NEW bib i was saving for a different occasion, damn you meta!!!
wow, i love the way lefty is looking brother. very different now in her older age than either of my girls. and the buds are fat in the sense of they look like "chubby overweight overfed slobs who never excercise" fat. and that is good. i think she could definitely use another week, for what it's worth. any info on trichs?
all the other plants are looking fantastic, it's honestly hard to keep track of them all but let's see. little sprout and behemoth are looking great, little sprout seems to have branched out a shit load. the transplants look healthy as fuck. the seedlings look perfect. and uhhh....what was left... oh, the clones. couldn't see them too well through the dome, but as long as you keep it moist in there (the hydro guy told me to keep a small vent hole, like half inch square, and mist a couple times a day to keep moist). and remember it can take 10 or 12 days to show roots at the bottom of the rockwool, so be patient if they're not ready by next week.
props for everything brother, and get over that damn cold already. aren't you going to vegas soon? you're gonna need all your facilities

Haha, fatty fat in a good way...Yeah, another week, but I'm gonna probably chop a few branches in 4 or 5 days so I can get them dried and have a 1 week cure for Vegas baby!!!! As for trichs, actually, we're looking good. I've got amber and cloudy on most of my sugar leaves, and the nugs are looking nice and cloudy, as soon as I see some amber encroach into the calyxs, then I'm gonna chop. As for everything else, yeah, lots of shit going down. Probably the main reason Little Sprout is branching out so much is because I chopped like 4 or 5 really huge fan leaves yesterday, and I think she responded nicely...It's a contraversial practice, the leaf pruning, but I'm gonna go for it with the DWC plants. Since I already chopped Behemoth to bits and pieces by taking 18 clones, and Little Sprout was just asking for it, putting out fan leaves 7 inches across...lol Seedlings are cool, just waiting for them to spread their wings a little, i'm using this jiffy starter mix for them and it seems to be cool, but if they don't shoot out their 2nd set of leaves soon I'm gonna start to worry...It's been nearly a week since I watered them, and I watered tonight, so we'll see tomorrow if there is any progress.
And the clones, well that was just an experiment...They don't actually have a vent hole yet, but tomorrow I'm gonna prop the lid up a tiny bit to start to get some airflow in there. I haven't even opened the lid since I took them on Saturday, and there is no real drooping or anything, it actually looks like they continued to grow and are pressing up against the lid, cause they weren't like that when I popped the dome on top. I mean, thy were touching the ceiling a little, but now it's like they have horizontal growth against the top...lol...like they hit the ceiling, turned 90 degrees, and kept going sideways. Anyway, I'm patient with them, I'm just hoping they root in the next 14 days, cause i'm going to Vegas in 2 weeks.
Anyway, feeling better than I have in days, and hopefully I'll completey kick this cold soon...Gotta say one thing, it's nice to be able to smell and taste food and weed again, had a couple miserable sensory deprived days there...lol

haha, little sprout was asking for it. actually, i have to vouch for the fan leaf clipping method. i was scared at first, but it had great results. i think it's definitely worth doing especially early in veg, if you wanna keep a short wide plant. good to hear about the clones making a right turn at the ceiling, that's funny. like they're thinking, nope, not this way i can't. that's crazy that they'd be growing so quickly after cutting, hm.. sweet deal though. take it easy brother, get over the cold and show vegas who's boss.

i remember when that dwc setup was still brand new..you were unsure that the seedlings would make it.. now look at them, their huge!! i feel like a proud uncle lol.. buds are looking awesome my man.. much respect goes to you meta.. keep it comin my dude

Haha, anyway, Little Sprout really was asking for it, looking all sexy over there showing off her pstils...lol...Naw, since the DWC was always an experimental grow anyway, I figured this is the time to try shit out. I mean, I have no shortage of photosynthesis. Also, people say the nutrients get stored in the leaves, so it makes sense if I was doing an organic grow that I wouldn't wanna cut the leavbes, cause organic nutes take a while to break down and get absorbed by the plant, but I'm running DWC with chemical nutes, so the plants won't starve or have any shortage of nutes towards the end of their life cause I'm artificially supplementing. Anyway, hope the clones root, and I'm dreading my rez change...Was gonna do it today, might put it off till thursday, sooo lazy!

It's just with my vegas trip coming up and bills and shit, I don't actually have the money I need for all my dirt until I get paid on the 20th...I Have 1 bag of Kellogg Patio Plus and 2 cubic feet of perlite right now, just to get the seeds started, but I have these huge smartpots to fill and all these giant holes need to be dug in the ground...so much to do, so little time...LOL keep it going man. Good shit Meta! I know what you mean about Vegas. I am still financially recovering. LOL I too am waiting for cash to get soil. I found a bag of Foxfarms for cheap at the hydro store and have leftover small bags of supersoil and some pearlite but it's not enough to get all my plants out. I'll keep you posted man.

Oooh..I was just walking through the soon-to-be garden and can't be more tickled as to the way things are turning out. I'm glad I started this indoor project, it's been really fun and i'm definately gonna try to keep it up. And now that spring is here, I'm stoked for plants taller than I, and I just hope me neighbors don't flip out...even if they do, not a lot the cops can do as long as I keep it legal...but I think my neighborhood has some pretty cool heads in it, so I'm not gonna stress. Be careful about growing monsters. The other element you have to worry about is the thieves. I have seen it many times where someone has gone through all the pains of growing all summer only to have it taken a week before harvest by some assholes. I plan on growing mine no taller than about 5 ft and keep em bushy.

thats the same thing im worried about when growing outdoors ABM. If i can keep my plants in the ground no taller than 4 1/2 or 5 feet that would be great. I gotta make a run to harbor side and get some more indica dominant clones to put in the ground by mid april/ may.

Wow, the outdoor growing thing is so foreign to me at first I thought you were kidding about the height of those plants. 5 feet, holy shit! How much yield does one typically get out of a 5 footer? Also, if you wanna keep them "shorter" (say under 5 feet) can you just do some lst during veg just like with indoor? I'm curious about all this even though outdoor won't be an option for me, at least not this season.

Yeah, aside from having my bedroom in the middle of my garden, i'm gonna hang bells in my plants...doesn't get too windy over here that often, and there is always someone home over here...All that being said, I already told my girlfriend I'm getting a multiple security camera setup when they start flowering...dunno, if I can afford the 300 bucks at the time, or I might go with a cheap 60 dollar model...we'll see...My biggest defense is my neighborhood itself and the way my property is set up.
I had plants taller than me last year, and I stand 6 feet tall...I'm hoping for at least 1/4 lb per plant, but I've heard of people getting 1lb+ per backyard plant...That being said, I've seen outdoor monsters that must've had 10 pounds when dry on 'em! And yeah, you can LST outdoor plants, I'm planning on doing it to some sativas that I worry about getting 12+ feet tall...Really, outdoor is awesome and what I've been waiting for, as well as the fact that I have years of experience growing outdoors, where as this was my first indoor grow ever.
