Leaves surrounding buds.

Is it safe to pull some of these off? It's kinda hard to get a microscope or lens in my box, so I've been pulling a small leaf off thats around the bud. Is this dangerous? Can it cause hermies?

you should be fine, almost every thing you do stresses out your plants to a certain extent. But I would not worry it about your plant turning Hermie.

don't cut those off! if you want to check the trichomes, then cut those leaves to check them. those babies are right there to supply the buds....

I mean the ones surrounding the buds. There are lots of them, probably hundreds. Not anything in the buds though, the small ones around and under.

I never cut anything off when in flower! not saying that it is the worst thing ever. the fan leaves are there to suck in light and co2 for the plant to grow! the more fan leaves the more bud! pull the plant out of your box and check it.

No problem doing that whatsoever. I never try and chech the trichs using the whole plant, it's just hard to do! so ya just snip a sugar leaf off and stick that on a table where it's nice and steady to the confued people, we're talking about sugar leaves, not fan leaves.

unless the leaves are blocking light to vital areas, there's really no need to cut them. but if you need to trim, spread it out over a couple of days. you don't want to do too much at any one time....

He's talking sugar leaves, not fan leaves. Sugar leaves aren't gonna be blocking off any light. This is just anecdotal, no pics etc, but i fancied trying to see if i could flower a cheese plant long enough into forming viable seeds, at 16 weeks i gave up, both plants had been harvested to just a bud on each, yet the plant which had 2 fan leaves stayed green and nice, the plant which just had sugar leaves died off and went all crispy.

i thought he was talking fans. good info. on ur experiment. i am a big trim advocate. i trim into flower, and begin training in flower. thankzzz....

i just cut snibbets off the tips of them to check. or if you have swollen calexis you can snip one of them off also to check.

Alright thanks. I did some LST, so the plants are tied around the growbox, it is a very very small space. I'm surprised at there size compared to the room they have. The tallest is over 2 feet, I had to tie her to the right and to the left, it is now picking the pot up.... The other one is fairly large. The only one small enough to pull out is very late in flowering, and in overall growth.
