hmmm. pics?idk, but i have a mostly sativa going 12/12 from seed. its about 2 1/2 months old, and looks like it has at least another month to go.
pix of it are in my journal in my sighmmm. pics?
I'm assuming you're worried about height which is why you're thinking about 12/12 from seed. While you can expect a stretch in flower, it's not going to get out of control unless you have a 2 foot plant going into flower. Even then, you can still train it and even without training, it would barely triple in height in flower.
My advice: veg to 12 inches, then flip the lights.
Thanks ill check it out.. mine are about 3 weeks.idk, but i have a mostly sativa going 12/12 from seed. its about 2 1/2 months old, and looks like it has at least another month to go.
pure sativas generally grow in a 12 hour light environment (gets dark, real quick in the tropics and stays that way for 12 hours)
according to bricktop, you should use 11 hours light for the sativas to speed up flowering (some sites mention going as far as 9 hours) since sativas can keep going for close to a year in 12/12 before finishing and get pretty big.
im growing a pure sativa for the first time myself, i topped and id advise the same lol.
been running it in 11 hours light for some time now and it keeps on growing but no flowers in site (not just stretching, there are about 2-3cm´s between nodes.)
1.5 months old maybe (ran it in 24 hour light for the first 2 weeks) and 1.2 feet in height with 4 equal tops.

If you look at the guy on here that said he did a 12/12 sativa he has a pretty nice plant.... I don't believe that 2 weeks of vegging is going to make a credible difference, but If you were to veg a Sativa for much longer I'm sure the results would be much greater. It's basic science. but with sativas, will that time be worth it?I'm going to disregard the above in hopes of a valid response. Perhaps someone can rebut this scientifically...but it would seem to me it would be better to veg for a couple of weeks so you could top plus get some additional vegetation. Sativas have skinny leaves as it is...seems you would want more of them to absorb the light.
