Reflector Help Please

Hey guys, so I just got a Sunhut XL Tent (About 4x4x7 ft.) I have a Lumatek 600 E-Ballast, but I still need to find a good AC Reflector. Right now, I'm having a toss-up between the 6" Euro Reflectors and the 6" Cooltubes. I've heard mixed reviews about the Cooltubes, but haven't heard much about the Euros.

Will this specific Euro Hood cover the whole tent's area?

Thanks for any help or suggestions anyone may have. :bigjoint:

I don't have experience with either but when designing my space a cooltube just wouldn't fit. I want to say it's width was like 18" or even 24" so I went with the Super Sun II because of it's compact foot print, ofcourse you don't have that problem, and I can't stress enough on how well made it is. I'm very happy with my choice and would recommend thier line of products to anyone.

I have a 6" Euro reflector and it works fine but really wish I had spent the extra on a blockbuster or Magnum XXXL.

I have an xtrasun 6 in a 4x4 grolab tent it seems to be doing ok, cooled with a six inch active air fan exhaust to attic, temps stay around 77-80 degrees, with a nexgen 600 watt ballast/ 600w hps bulb

Skip the cool tube too.
Lose more lumens thru the curve of the lens.
I have a Sun System Yield Master II - 6 inch hood.
Made right here in America !
You can unsrew the whole glass lens if you want, like I did.
My extraction is so good in my HomeBox tent that I don't even use the glass lens to air cool it.
Took it off and my temps are 79F - 82F with a 400w Hortilux in the 32" x 32" x 63" tent.
Using passive intake with 2 open flaps and a 6" Can Fan extracting STRAIGHT up (no bends) into the attic via 3 feet of RIGID ducting.

Awesome, thanks a bunch for all your replies. The Magnum kinda seems a little overkill for a 4x4 tent imo, maybe not though. Nonetheless, I can get a Blockbuster, Yield Master, or Radiant for almost $100 less...so I think that's the route I'm gonna go.

Actually, speaking of prices and such...what do you guys recommend for the safest and cheapest place to buy/order my hood? EBay Sellers seem to have the best prices. Local Hydro Shop is overpriced, they mark everything @ retail, so that's out of the question.

Yea so it looks like the Blockbuster is the best choice for me. Looks like they're around $175 w/ shipping on EBay, anyone else know of anywhere I can find for cheaper? They were $140 on IgrowHydro.com but then it's like $60 to ship or some shit. I can get a Yeildmaster 2 Supreme for under $100. It's a little smaller than the Blockbuster but it'll still have a square footprint etc. Any suggestions?

Blockbuster - 25.5" x 25.5" x 10"
Yield Master 2 Supreme - 22.75" x 22.5" x 7.25"

I've never regretted buying the best that I can afford......in the long run they have rewarded me well beyond the initial extra cost.

No doubt, it's the "afford" part that's hurting me. I've already spent a good bit more than I wanted to on some other shit, but I'll buy the Blockbuster anyways. I hope that 3 inches makes that much of a difference lol. Back to the question that I can't get a real answer out of.

Anyone know of any better deal and $180 (shipping included) for the Blockbuster hood?

No cause I aint in the states but I suggest you play the 2 cheapest suppliers off each other for the best price. Good luck. I once got £430 worth of bulbs for £270 cause I confused the salesman LOL!!!!!!
