DIYed Clay Bowl

So being back home and having flown, I had no piece with which to smoke. I really didn't feel like having to roll every-time and aluminum pipes taste like crap. Being the overall crafty person I am, I decided to visit my old HS and get some clay from my old art teacher. Of course everything went as planned and I got a ball o' clay and brought it home. The first pipe I made was a disaster and I broke the handle off the damn thing after spending over 8 hrs working on it. THIS second pipe took me all of 2 hrs and is SOOOO much better than the first. I'm ever tempted to say it's the best pipe I ever smoked with, it rolls almost like a old wooden pipe. Now some of you might be wondering how I cooked the clay since you need a kiln, well, I didn't. But the pipe works because I still dried the crap out of it in my oven at 500 for over an hour. It's fully hollow and even has a carb, I'm pretty proud. I think I might actually paint and glaze it for the local kiln fire in June...idk how it would work me trying to get it fired xD..

Actually clay is just fine to use as a material long as it's fully dry, kiln fired and glazed is best. What do you think early bowls were made of :P. I wouldn't have bothered if I could buy one...I literally live on an island and there's NO head shops or ANYWHERE that sells such items...
