Banning is just ludicrous in the first place...it is so simple ..if someone annoys you there's this little ignore feature and you can never be annoyed by them again...or tell them off or whatever...but banning is censorship and that is the very thing which leads to our being controlled by big brother and why our plant is illegal..it is also censorship...
So I propose a ban on banning

No one owes you the right to be here. In fact, there were a few rules that you agreed to in order to be a member of this community. If you no longer wish or feel the need to follow them, you are more than welcome to find another group with which to share these thoughts.

I agreed to follow the rules and when I don't, I have a price to pay. Now i have gotten infractions for joking around before, even when it was harmless humour and I was banned for ten days. I was pissed. It was heavy handed... Your ban was BS as well. That doesn't mean that bans should be banned. Well I've been banned twice now, and they were forever. Reversed as they were, I was still banned forever. Every infraction I have, and every ban that has been forced on me, were against the rules. No crime had been committed. They were placed on me for more trivial reasons. Is that what you like to see?
Bans aren't really ever good IMO. But there ARE times when a member is detrimental to the site, and bans are very acceptable. Every ban I have witnessed on this site however have been completely based on opinions, on both sides of the coin.we have had that discussion and I agreed it was probably a heavy handed mod. I'm glad you are back in. does that mean people don't deserve bans? Can they ignore the rules and make personal attacks, threats and call each other names?
You are entitled to believe that bans are stupid, that is fine. I support them. that is my position, and I'm entitled to it.
