Anyone ever had bad luck getting all male plants?

It's looking like most of my ladies, er, guys are turning out to be male. :( I suppose it's just bad luck. I have a few more plants growing, but they're a little bit behind, so hopefully at least one will bat for the female team. The weird thing is the male pre-flowers have started showing up before I switched over to 12/12. I've yet to see a pistil on my main plants. I guess the silver lining is they're growing nicely.

Feminized seeds are looking more and more appealing.

Just wanted to vent that.

Good call guys. The sexing thing is a headache anyway. I'm thinking some white widow feminized from nirvana, but do you guys recommend or swear by anything specifically?

then move on to clones from your fem seeds.
Yep, I left this part out. If you can have a veg space with a mother or two its the way to go.

I've personally had great luck with Dutch Passion's WW
One of my personal favorites.

Less is more, huh? Yeah, it got way too hot early on in my grow, so coincidence or not - might be the case. The question is, does the sex come before or after the egg? I can't seem to get a definitive answer, but I do know that stress can cause hermaphrodites specifically.

I'll have to read up on how to take care of a mother plant, is it basically a perpetual vegetative state for her?

Yes, just keep her on an 18/6 lighting sked & she will be there for you.

I gave my dude like 8 beans of different types and he told me they was all male. I don't know how that is cuz it was only two strains.

They must be thoroughbred seeds for that price. 130 bucks or so for 10 seeds! Nirvana has way, way lower prices for a white widow equivalent. I understand that might be because the genetics are less pure or something?

Thanks for the link.

Nice man, congrats. That's an awesome feeling, right? I'm hoping one of my plants will do the same at least. I'm in it for medicinal uses and all - I don't need much. They say stress is a killer. ;)

Ive brought 5 white widow seeds from nirvana each time they have all failed to germinate, I may have been unlucky to get a bad batch i duno (couldnt of been the method, i germ many seeds exactly the same way and usually have a 100% germ rate) but ive heard good things about green house white widow and dinafem white widow.
