simple advise as have no idea how much experience you have? and you look like your strugling.
get a decent cutting or grow 1 from seed.
put in small pot with neat coco fibre.
once you can see roots coming from bottom of pot transplant into large pot full of neat coco fibre.
put your light 6ft above cuttings for a week or so then lower gradually to 2 ft above plant.
use canna coco a+b for veg and flower. start with 10ml to 10litres of water and gradually move it up to 40ml per 10liters of water. water when pot looses about two thirds of its weight,try not to let completely dry out. i find a good water every 3rd day works.
it is a very easy beginners way to get great results. coco is like a sponge,holds a lot of air so really hard to overwater.

hey my friend. Why dont you just start simple? Regular soil. Seeds sprouted in paper towels. Plain water. Light nutes etc.

I have only 4 grows under my belt and have not tried hydro.

It is so easy. It seems as if you are trying too many techniques.

The basics: dont over water. Dont give too much nutes, keep the plant cool. etc

remember less is more, keep it simple.

DONT GIVE UP BRO!!!!!! This is a hobby for most my man..... it saves me from paying crazy ammounts for good smoke. Find what works for you dude but def dont give up on this rewarding hobby. I learn something with every grow I do. If you need words of encouragment I will yell them straight into your face if you like lol.

i'm sorry, i cannot respond to that anymore. i've already been at the 'start simple' point, i've grown the lousy yellow fluffy buds that come from poor genes when growing like that, and I want the real stuff. and NO, I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER 'SIMPLE' GROW GUIDE.

to me, there is nothing simple about growing.

so when should i give up? when I lose my job? drop out of school? end up on the streets?

i've put in so much money into it - but that's nothing compared to the amount of time spent only in RESEARCH! not to mention the time spent actually working, and not even thinking about the very REAL COSTS of the constant fear of getting caught.

I love it too much and I never wanna stop or give up, but it's getting too much and I don't even have anyone to talk to.

god, i hate whining.

yeah. that's cuz i'm an agent. an agent who can't grow. all that frustration and sadness gone made me work with your government.

that if your government has led you this low on (online) human relations, then no matter what you grow and smoke, you're losing the war.

I disagree, I have seen excellent results from new growers.

In case no one told you the plants grow themselves.

i'm not looking for a fight, although i'm in a very bad mood (not only because of grow business). and i realize you have good intentions. I'm not actually looking for help here (I was looking for all sorts of help in other threads but good help is hard to find, especially when everything I do turns out wrong, this is nobody's fault but my own). I am looking for moral support or some new ideas, I dunno. but see, i'm not getting that.

i'm not looking for pity either. my thoughts of quitting are real and you obviously agree with them. i'm gonna lay off the plants (with my karma, this will surely help), and only give them tap water once in a while or something. I just can't afford to do it anymore. if they don't just grow, i'll sell all the gear and be done with.
