My Outdoor grow

Hi there guys.
I'm really bad at making journals, but I will try to keep this thread alive with updates every now and then.

The following are 2 random seeds I've collected from bags etc etc. I have no idea what strain these are.

I live in the Caribbean and they will grow outside. Temperature is currently 26C outside and stays like this all year long mostly. Humidity is currently 78%.

The soil I'm using is a local soil, they prepared it with cow shit and with compost. It's pretty good soil, my friend used it and it worked out good for him. This soil was mixed with perlite and the upper 20cm's with an organic potting soil i had at home.

They look pretty good, and I hope they'll turn out alright since its my first grow!

the seedshell is still hooked to the leaf, that smal black dot is just some dirt that landed there due to wind.



I'll try to post new pictures once a week.

quick question..is it normal that when getting the direct sun, the leafs will point up like a bird with it wings pointing up? and after the sun goes down, they will get back to horizontal position..is this wrong or so?

no i think if your leaves are reaching for the sky then they are just thirsty for the sun, haha unless its unatural but i don't know what that would be
think your good. how many leaves does it have now?

here you go, took these when i saw your post;



It still has the seed shell..

a lil info on temps and humidity..for 11pm
temp. outside is 24C
humidity 69%
wind speed at aprox. 14km/hr

they're getting fish tank water mixed with plain tap water...where i live the tap water is perfect.
the ratio i'm using is :
I put one of these filled with the green water in one of these ,and fill the rest up with the tap water.

they get this everyday at around noon... 1 cup of 10oz each..(for now at least)

no down sides as of yet.
if you see anything weird, let me know.

Your doing fine. My seedlings do the same . we're probably giving to much direct sun but anyways it has never affected any of my grows. Make sure you have good drainage with your pots.

first of all, thank you for the input :clap:

the drainage is working like a charm.

about when to water. i never knew that there is a certain time of the day to water a plant?
could you teach me a little on this matter?

It was the way I was taught. Something about harming (burning) the plants when watering in the hot sun. Also, let your soil dry out a bit between waterings so your root system stretches.

by the next day, the soil is pretty much dried...not completely but pretty much!

hey there guys.
March 16th, some foto's.
It has rained the whole day on sunday and on monday, so no sun :(
But today..there was the sun so i took a pic.

thanks mate.
as agreed before..i water every other day, when the upper layer feels crusty..as stated before, it has rained none stop almost on sunday and monday so i basically watered the plant last time on saturday.
ill see if it needs water tomorrow.

Hi Bosweed-
Good luck on your grow! Your seedling can handle full sun, give her as much as possible. Per your question, most of us growers in Hawaii do start our plants indoors under lights until they are the desired size then put them outdoors to flower. I typically start a seed under 24/0 lighting then put outdoors when plant is a little over a month old, they'll go right to flower year round. I start my seeds in deep narrow pots and can usually get them 1-2ft in a month.

Of course, you can start your seed outdoors, but you run the risk of something getting your little guy and it'll usually go right to flower. When I do this, I can go from seed to harvest in a little over 2 months and usually yeild about an oz or less. Strain dependent, of course.

On the watering, water them deeply in the morning after the top of the soil has dried down an inch or two. Rain water is best.

You seem to be using good soil, when you do decide to feed the soil, less is more with a fertilizer that strong.

So 30 days none stop light on.

about watering, you're the 2nd one telling me this. Better to water it in the morning...can I do it at night?
