Get a "Y" adapter from home depot and add another CFL light, you can NEVER have too much. If its one thing I constantly added to my grow space it was more lights.

you can grow with cfl's, and yes they are alot better than the ones you get at wal-mart(the tubes). if you go with hps you're most likely going to need to spend more than $100, you'll also need to ventilate your space because any hid light is going to produce a good amount of heat. i saw that you looked at robbie82's thread and needed help so i figured i'd give you a little bit of knowledge. without knowing how big your grow space is i can't say how much light you need exactly, but you should try and have 3000-6000 lumens per spuare foot. if your space is 2x2 then you need 12000+. if you want to use cfl's what you can do for light fixtures is go to wal-mart by the tools and get those work lights with the silver circular reflector for about $5 each. they can handle up to 150watts. for the seedling/veg bulbs they have ge energy smart daylight bulbs that are equivalent to 100watts(uses 26) and have a color of 6500k which is what you need for veg(white package with blue on the left side). they are $6 for 2 and have an output of 1600 lumens each, so that would cover one square foot of space. at menards they have sylvania soft white mini cfl's equivalent to 100watts (uses 23), 1600 lumens each, and have a color temperature of 3000kelvins which is close to what you want for flowering. if you get these make sure you get the soft white in the white and red package. if you have a little more money you can go on the light bulb depot website and get these cfl's they have called super spirals that use 85 watts but have an output of 4250 lumens each and cost just under $30 a piece and come in 6400K and 2700k which is better than the 3000k i mentioned earlier. if you get these you can still use those work lights i was talking about. the other good thing about cfl's is produce almost no heat so you can put them much closer (appx 6 inches)to your plants without damage. with hps the closest they can get is like 2 1/2 to 3 feet away or else they'll burn your plants. i'm sure there is more but that should give you some ideas. here is the link to the page with the super spirals Lighting fixtures, gu10 halogen, light bulb, lamp, fluorescent, incandescent, metal halide from Light Bulb Depot. for the 2700k (flowering light) and Lighting fixtures, gu10 halogen, light bulb, lamp, fluorescent, incandescent, metal halide from Light Bulb Depot. for the 6400k (veg light)

If you don't use some sort of reflector above your losing a lot of your light. You could either buy a y adapter for a couple of dollars or spend a couple more and have the lights be a lot more effective.

Wow Great Advice Guys. I need to save up and its sounds like i'm gonna have to invest 35-45 dollars or so the really tall one died (Probably Due To The Stretching) This was a trial run I'm Getting some better seeds on monday. Hopefully the next batch will be better now that I know more about what I'm doing. But I Still Got hopes for the little Guy. I'll Post Pics Of My Setup Soon.

it's probably ok for a little while but you're definitely going to need more light. also is are you able to paint that thing they're in? if so you should go to home depot and buy a very small can of flat white paint and throw a couple of coats in the grow area. this will help reflect some of the light. you don't want to use foil because it may focus the light in one spot and cause some burns. did you look at that sight i posted? for tips other than here you can go to Marijuana Seeds Search Garden there's a few good things on there.

You if you can you could get your hands on 2 of thoes kinds of lights that are 10w each and put out 50w of light eachI planted These On The 3rd
I cant really Afford Any Fancy Equipment.
Basically I Give them as much Light As Possible and keep the soil moist.
One is 3 1/2 Inches Tall And The Other is 2 1/2 inches tall
I'm Concerned at how tall they are with so little leaves. Is This normal?
I Would Love tips and criticism.

P.S.I also Heard somewhere That I Could Use a 75 Watt Fluorescent Bulb

Look like a lot of people pitched in to get you on the right track. Once you've replanted and moved your light down (or added more) then take some time and browse the CFL journals--- people have done some great stuff. Some will constantly tell you it's crap and the only way to go is with the big lights, but start however you can is my motto.

thats right, i love HPS/MH lights!!!!!!!!

due to financial situations, i must use CFLs... which i must say do fall 2cd in my mind the the oh so mighty HPS/MH lights...
but they are a great 2cd pick... they really do the job when needed and used properly will increase the chance of you smokin some great bud...
CFL's are great when heat;money;space;stealth and much much more, involves your status. FLou. and CFL's are being improved EVERYDAY, the industry's are makin better and better house held bulbs,such as above, they are my 2cd choice in life, but in real time status they are my 1st!!!

That plant is way of center, and is still stretched honestly I wouldnt waste my time and start off from scratch, the roots wont grow normal in that cup, and have already probably stretched out awkward already.
