and if the flood and drain doesnt work out for you it looks to me like u have all the parts to a dwc. withe the deep water culture you would just have a container with holes in the top for net pots and an air stone in the bottom of your nutrient slution. first you add a nutrient solution until the water level is around an inch from the bottom of the netted pots. then u add an air stone to the nutes. the air bubbles from the stones rises to the surface and pops creating a very very humid enviornment which the roots will love. also when the bubbles pop they splash the solution onto the rocks ( or what ever medium your using) the solution whicks up to the central root mass developing the roots. once roots develope the process continues but the roots aid in nutrient take up. its like if u hold a long piece of tissue in the toilet the water would come up past the water level. this a basic principle of hydroponics if u create a moist and oxygenated enviornment a plant will grow. this is y i said your plnts r too wet. i believe that since u didnt use the hydro to that your medium retains the nutes longer than it should. but once u fix the roots plant growth should sky rocket but this is something u want to fix before u get too deep into flowering
