hey man whats the light schedule youre using
i read somewhere if you keep the lowryder2 under 12/12 for flowering it actually reduced yield and they recommend going 18/6 the whole way through...
my diesel ryder is just over 2 weeks old and starting to show fem preflowers, only a few inches tall. really small. its under a buncha cfls now but if i move her into the flower cab for the 250 w hps she will only get 12/12 bec the flower cab has other bigger normal plants in there... what do you think i should do...
i wana get the hps on her but i also want to stick to the recommended 18/6 all the way through to harvest...
Hey Lochem thanks for checkin out my journal. You know its funny you should ask about my lighting, because i do exactly what im not supposed to (apparently). I keep them under the lights 24/0. I have read everywhere that 20/4 or 18/6 is really optimal for all of the AFs. Well apparently its in my nature to push the limits because i have left the lights on since the day i germinated them. As for your plant, i would probably keep it under the cfl's. All of mine are under regular or compact fluorescent lights and they are thriving. Now im not saying that it wouldnt be better to have it under hps because if my current living situation allowed it, i would have some kind of HID system, It just sounds like your little LR2 could use special attention. Also i have found in the course of this grow that the LR strains seem to be really REALLY picky about water. My girls were looking a little wilty and discolored for a week when i had to use filtered tap water. I usually give them only distilled water. As soon as i got back from the store with more distilled water they seemed to perk right back up.

Thanks fr the reply. I'll keep her under the cfl's and see how she does. I really would love to give er the hps love but I'd rather more airy buds than less dense ones! + rep man keep fighting the good fight

Its looking way way better now. It is still gonna b the runt but the little thing is amazingly hardy. It probably has the same amount of budding as the others just more of it in fewer areas.

i cant figure out why my diesel ryder is so damn small... i mean i know its suposed to be a dwarf strain but its tiny compared to yours., i mean really small. like 3 inches at best. and its been showing white hairs for over a week.. its over 3 weeks old

ye she looks healthy, hairs and everything, but still looks small!
ill post a pic tomorrow
Ok cool. Maybe its just a weird pheno. One of my easy ryders, as you can see in some of the pics is really really small too (compared to her sisters). I know that some of this is because for some reason or another it was a little sickly and i think that stunted its growth slightly, however i still think it would have been the runt anyways. I have 3 distinct phenos of easy ryder; one is very tall and very full with a large main cola. two of them are very very VERY tall. Like over 2 feet tall. probably 26" or so and are kind of leggy with multiple smaller colas. The other 2 look like the picture for the Joint Doctor web site although, as i said above, one is quite runtish. The funny thing is the other 2, the diesels, have very little variation. Maybe we have the same issue, maybe theres a super dwarf gene lurking somewhere in the lr2 portion of the lr2 x nycd and lr2 x ak47!
