2X400w VS. 1000W in a 5X5X7 Grow Tent 12 Plants

Which would be better to run in a 5x5x7 foot grow tent. 2 400w or a single 1000w. I know that light dissipates as you pull farther from the source and all that.. Im just wondering which would be better and cover more and get the same intensity needed to flower 12 plants. Any Ideas guys?

I would say 2 lights are better than 1..

If your area wasn't square I would say 2 600s but as it is you might go with the 1kW. I run a 1kW in my 4x4 and it's just a tad overkill. Would probably be perfect for a 5x5. Just get a huge hood if you choose to go with one big light.

2 lights are better by means of 'light distribution' but two ballasts and two bulbs produce more heat and you need a bigger fun to cool them

1 bulb consums less energy than two bulds with the half watts each one.. (a single 1000w bulb is much more economic than 2x400w + 1x200w)

You guys are fooling your self if you are worried about light distribution in a tent. Keep it simple, 1 1000w or 1 600w is perfect for a tent.

This is what I did with my 5x5x7. It is 2 600w.
