2 plants in 1 pot???

I just started my grow room which has the Ebb & Grow system with 12 pots. 10X10 room with 1000 watt MH running right now.

Stupid question is....Can I put 2 rockwool cubes in 1 pot? The reason I am wanting to do this is because I dont have anymore pots and I would like to have a few extra plants starting in case I end up with males. My concern with the 2 rockwool in 1 pot is over crowding and what if 1 is female and 1 is male?....

Roots will tangle and make it impossible to seperate. Idk about hydro. but for soil more then 1 plant in a pot eventually one will smuther the other and the more dominant plant will survive.

Toke is right. With adequate room for the roots to grow, and the thought of not separating them doesn't bother you.. then yes hypothetically 2 plants in a giant pot would work, but i'd train them to a scrog or at least LST the fawk outta them. But if 1 were male.. You'd just hack it down from the main stem where it reaches your soil.. but the crappy side to that is the fact that the male wasted all that room down below on rooting itself before it went into flowering. If you're dealing with clones, wouldn't they all be female aye?:idea:

I would like to see it happen as an experiment. I can see two plants growing out of the same pot.
Overcrowding in nature happens all the time. Up pot as the pair outgrow their space.
And if you're going to use the plant as a mother then even better. You'll be trimming a lot. But if you don't sex one of the two before you begin taking cuttings for clones then you may be propagating males and not know it. Also if one plant were to be male and one were to be female, the male would have to be cut out down to the soil line. There would be little damage to the other plant if any. But if you start to force the plants (12/12) and you didn't catch the male as he blooms first usually, it's possible to have one or two male flowers pollinate an entire female plant.

My take on this is you have to be able to compost what you don't have room for, or you are in danger of ever expanding your operation. That's fine if you live next to the forest, just go plant em outside. I hate to do it too, I've ran out of room, I have 4 4" T8 shop lights going, a T5 2" 4 bulb site and a Hydrofarm Jumpstart 2. I am out of room and weak looking plants i have no room for go out in the compost heap. I hate tossing them and I don't want to give them away for security reasons.

Thanks Everyone.... I think at this time I dont want to risk it. Especially since this is my first grow. Thanks for the advice!
