i am using a brand new 5 quart crock pot. i started an hour ago with 2lbs of butter and 1/4lb of bud trimmings. i had the crock pot set on LOW. after 1/2 hour the butter started to turn brown around the edge of the pot. i have added 5 cups of water yet the edges seem to still be browning. i am stirring every 15 minutes. i have now turned it down to the SERVE setting, which is very low. do i just keep it on this setting a couple more hours? it has OFF, LOW, HIGH, SERVE.
