Lansing Area - Need a Caregiver

Hey everybody...I'm going to be going to the doctor soon to get my paperwork filled out so I can my MMP card. I'm trying to find a caregiver soon so I can fill out that paperwork and send it in at the same time I send in my doctors approval.

I'm hoping to find somebody who will let me pay for the cost of growing and producing my plants but not try to take most of my plants and sell them for themselves. I would only need 2, max 3, ounces a month and I'm not looking for a specific strain or anything...just one strain to help with my knee and back pain and one to help me relax and sleep at night, and maybe if it's possible a energetic strain to get me through work.

I'm a pretty easy going guy I just want to find somebody who's willing to have a no bullshit patient/caregiver relationship. I hope I can find somebody on here because I'm really not looking forward to paying the same prices I was paying with my sketchy dealer at a dispensary.

Have any friends you trust that does have the space? Who maybe wouldn't mind being able to legally carry and grow 2.5 Oz?

I'm sure you could find someone willing to work by your terms, just a thought.

None of my friends that I trust smoke or will be getting a medical card soon. I would much rather find someone who has experience growing because I'm pretty sure I would screw it up somehow.

Where would you recommend I find somebody who could help me out? I've heard of compassion club meetings and the such but I don't think I would be able to attend without my card and also I'm a shy guy...one of the reason I smoke weed is because I'm painfully shy.

i grow for my wife and myself, i went to horticulture school to wrk at a greenhouse now i grow weed im legal and have the room only thing im in the u.p i can travel though to an extent pm me for more info. wishing you good luck in your search

If you want someone to grow for you, but you only want 2-3 oz a month, why the hell do you care what they do with the rest of it? Then you say you want someone with a bit of growing experience a few posts down. To all that sir, I wish you the best of luck. You basically are giving someone the legal right to grow 12 plants but telling them their only allowed 2? You'll probably find a unicorn before finding an experienced grower who wants to do that.

If you find one of the good caregivers you may get 1-2 oz a month for free, and then what ever compensation you work out after that. But any overages belong to the caregiver to do with what he or she wants. That's how I and anybody I've ever spoken to on the subject understand it. Keep it mind it takes a lot of money and knowledge to grow premium bud. It's a lot more than throwing a few beans in the ground.

You're right...I'm new to all this. Would a fair proposal be 3 oz free a month if the caregiver can use the rest of my plants for their own profit?

You can deal with finding a caregiver after you get your card. Might even be easier to find one.
Then you can see what kind of quality they have to offer and haggle.

typically the best deal you might find is a caregiver willing to give 1oz for free per month, and then probably a discounted rate after that. that's the nature of it, if you want more out of your plants you may as well grow them yourself, because you're not likely to find it elsewhere. ultimately, you are asking a caregiver to give you retail almost $1k of herb for the privilege of growing your plants. having a caregiver costs you nothing, but electric bills are high. you say you live in a small apartment, i live in a 2 bedroom with my girlfriend. she basically had to come to grips with her shit getting relocated out of the spare bedroom and me turning it into a garden ;-)
