if you grow a mother plant outside can you take clones off of it and put the clones under 24 hour light (cfl's) without the clones trning into hermys ????????

You sure can. All the way up until the outdoor plant is a couple weeks into flower, if you so desire.

i know but the mother plant is only getting like 16 hours of light outside and the clone comes off of the plant so if it goes from 16 to 24 hours of light im worried that the clone might hermy

If it herms it would be due to poor genes. That kind of light difference would affect the clone.

you have absolutely nothing to worry about. is the mother flowering?just wondering if it is, it doesnt really matter if it is either way. taking a clone from a plant thats still in veg getting 16 hours and put it under 24/0 or any other cycle and taking a clone from a flowering plant and putting it into 24/0 lighting to revert it to veg cannot possibley make your clones go hermie.
