Show Me What You Got LST?

Day 6 flower. I haven't grown anything in over 5 years. I forgot how big these things get in the stretch. On top of that, the LST has made growth rates exponential. I think next time I'll only do 4 plants or do a shorter veg. I'm about to have a serious overgrow situation in my closet. Oh well, better to have too many than not enough right?

Those are some very healthy plants you have. How long did you veg for? And was it under a 400w alone?

Thanks. They were 35 days from seed when I flipped the lights. Vegged under 40000 lumen T5's (6500K) and flowering under the same fixtures. I switched the bulbs out to 3000K's though. Since I'm flowering under T5's as well that was my main motivation for the extreme LST. HPS would probably flower better but I don't have the setup for it. I nute burned them pretty good about 2 weeks ago but they're doing better now.

man those are looking great. and ya when i lst i usaly use less plants cuz instead of 6 1 foot wide plants i can have 2 3 ft wide plants and get the same yield if not better with less plants

well i used 5 gal buckets that worked good but i think it was to much for the size of plants i grew so i went to 3 gal round pots and i like the 3 gal for what i was doing, the best pots to get IMO is a square pot, they take up less room and you can arrange them easier.
also i used bags before and to lst them i used duct tape to tape it to the side of the bag



I wanted to go with the square pots at first but they are nowhere to be found here on my island so i used the bags i got with the tent...........But I think in my next grow I'll go with 5 gallon round pots, i think with those you can tie the ladies down pretty well..............and i think i'll go with less plants.......I was thinking instead of 10 plants maybe 5 plants in 5 gallon pots in a scrog..............maybe that'll work out best...

u could order them, i just got 8 2.5 liter square pots for 1.50 brand new and they are well made. then i got 20 4 inch nursery pots for 10 cents each. i love sqaure pots

yes this would work as well, the only reason i dont do those is the cost, but it is very easy to make any 25cent -1.00 plastic bucket into a smart pot just buy putting holes evenly in the pot and add some screen mesh on the inside.
mabye ill have to order a few from you BC, i know you got to be a lil cheaper then the stores

I just harvested a chronic that spent it's whole life in a #2 smart pot, and just planted an auto in a #2 as well (though think I should have used a #3 instead). I love smart pots but it is a lot easier to man-handle the diy air-pails with a plastic lip/edge instead of fabric.

I transplanted a wonder woman 6 weeks into veg from a #1 smart pot to a 3ga diy air-pail 4 days ago and I got roots shooting out all over the pail. I used a single layer of pet-tough window screen this time but think I will double it up again for the next one. A single layer is a bit thin and might be messy if it got cut accidentally.

I am no longer growing pot ATM do to probation. i am smoking though.
all i grow for now is veggies.
i might do some autos this year in the woods for fun though cuz i miss growing. it sucks having a marijuana card and not being able to grow it

glad you are doing so. to make it even though you would have to do the 2 plants side by side not grow one and then harvest and then grow another and see whats different. i think if you can then grow 2 of the same, same pheno, with same every thing like you said except the pruning part.

true well maybe you guys were right... with cutting all the leaves off plus i had to harvest a week early i only got 16.1... nice buds but i wish i coulda kept it in longer, next time i might not lst or fim i might try the "uncle bens topping method"

the buds look good man. just remember quality over quantity is better IMO.
and sorry to hear you didnt get as much with lst, it might have been the strain did not like the lst. or the leafs getting pulled off.
Uncle bens topping works great, i like to top my plants first for the 4 main colas and then LST

and yes it might have been the strain, it was more of a sativa.

but yeah im gonna put my lstd plant i have now into a scrog then the next plant will be uncle ben, ill let you know how everything goes!

i try not be be rude, some time i am when i am not trying to be.

I got a question, is there a certain amount of time you have to tie the plant down? Or do you keep it tied down forever?
