looks like a nute burn or def. I would start a flush and test the ph run off that comes out, then start a light feeding.
the burn or def. can be cause by a ph lock out. when you get the run off number post it there not that bad but it can
get bad if not corrected.

well there geting bigger and will start driking alot more, when you water, water till theres a good amount of run off then when it drys out water again.
when I used to do soil alot I would use water with nutes then the next watering would be strait water, I would do that to keep a salt build up from
happening. Im confused about the dry soil issue I hope I answered it for you

lol, your confused, this is my first attempt and dont know what all the ppm, ph, flush, means, lol, but will suss it out.

would a soil ph test kit be suitable? seen one in homebase for a fiver

i am assuming that flushing means pouring water through the soil until it comes out clear, is this right

First of all welcome to RIU, I hope that you find the forum informative and also a great place to share ideas. For your first grow you have the girls looking really beautiful. If you are growing in soil which for me is my favorite, I have yet to get into all the ppm (parts per million). Soil acts as a natural buffer to inbalances in Ph and is slow to change either up or down.
The leaf problem showing in your pics are not uncommon at that stage of flowering. Many and probably most strains that I have grown tend to show similiar def. There are many ways to avoid this and to even bring these leaves back to a green vigor. During late stage flowering when the use of nitrogen is discouraged you can add seaweed or kelp at half strength. You can also foliar feed which I strongly encourage throughout the grow to keep your leaves and plants in top vigor and health.
Foliar feeding when done properly is totally safe to you plants and buds for mold. I must stress doing it properly. The stoma on the leaves which allow the intake of the water, nutes and such will absorb the nutes directly into the leaves. This gives you a very quick response to the application of specific products to your plants.
How this helps or gives you something to think about. Happy Growing and once again Welcome

ppm = parts per million an PH is a way to test how high alkilinity is and low acidic your water is. any cheap ph kit will work
as the ppm its going to show yo how high the strength of nutes you are puting in your water. sorry for throwing
stuff at you without explaining. but both of these are going to be the main way your going to control the water
you put in your plants, so far Id say you have got real lucky not using any of them. now flushing is a method of
running water through your buckets. so run twice the normal amount of water though to wash out any buildup
of salts/nutes that might be in there, now at the same time capture sume of the water and test it with the PH
kit that you need to buy. the ppm meter you can live without just mix half strength of what the bottle of nutses
says never use what it says. the PH kit cost $5 and it not avoidable

i have tested the run off water and the numbers is between 7.0 and 8.0, i only ran through water until it started to come out of bottom of the pot, but there was enough to test, i am starting to catch up a bit now on the terminology, good old wikipedia, lol

well 7.0 is fine but 8.0 isnt when to test run off you need to
run water through till you see a yellow to tan dirty water and
test that. the water that comes out right off the bat aint the
the water you want to test.
