I microwaved a bud to dry it out. It worked and I got ripped!! Anyone ever dry a whole plant this way? LOL.............................

No, never a whole plant, i have tried all kinds of quicker drying methods when I was starting out growing and would run out of smoke occasionally. but it would just be a bud or two. I learned a while ago to always grow a little more than I thought I needed, havent had to quick dry in a while now....

That's why I tried it. I ran out of smoke. LOL. Just curious to see how others have quick dryed their bud? Stoners can be very creative. LOL.

Dry ice is a great method, actually freeze dries the buds, kind of an odd taste but better than the macrowave.

Interesting............................ dry ice. Of course I would have to be desperate for smoke to try this. Thankfully I am well stocked again.

Even the most experienced have tried crazy ways to dry and cure..........
I had a buddy that new of a killer technique. I don't know what he wrapped it with but he threw the wet bud in the dryer for I think like 5 minutes. I couldn't believe how good it burned and tasted. I was wrecked... I was also in high school but I still remember that dank joint.

I wouldn't recommend nuking your buds. It can get it too hot and vaporize your THC before you can smoke it. If I must quick dry a bud or two, I like to use a food dehydrator. I put it on the top rack and go slow, running it in cycles of 10 min on and 10 off. Takes an hour or two to get small buds smokeable. Large ones get cured, no exceptions.

I dried some bud one time in the oven with the door open. It didn't take too long and worked pretty good. I wouldn't suggest doing it to your entire crop. Proper hang and dry & jar curing is also the best method.

WOW. Nuking your buds is a waste of time in my opinion. Do what Skunk or H2grow said if you must speed something up. THC starts to break down at about 85 degees. A microwave will just cook it. If you can not wait a few hours, then go buy a bag. I have an old computer monitor, that I lay small buds on the vents in back. flipping them every hour or so. This takes 2-3 hours.

The oven is also a great alternative. Pre-heat it to its lowest setting. While it is heating spread your bud out on a cookie sheet or piece of tinfoil. When the oven is ready, turn the heat off and place your samples in. When the oven cools off, remove the bud, and re-heat it. Repeat until dry.
