My afghanica has had long thick pistils comming from everyhwere for about 2weeks how long untill i see the buds

Are you talking about the white hair coming off between the branch? If it is ... Its budding right now.

You won't see any measurable buds for several weeks of flowering. Make sure you count the first week you see pistils as the first week of flowering. Not just the day you switched your lights over.
