If you dried your herb properly, it shouldn't take more than a week and a half for them to cure up to smoking quality. How long do you dry your buds?

I thoroughly dry, then jar it...watching it close for a couple of days in case of any probs....I'm lucky enough to have several strains curing at any one time so I'm in no hurry....sure gets smoother with curing...........

I cut down and hung my Purps, within two days they are hard, crispy and dry as a bone, crumbling. what do I do? it was 65 degrees, cool, dark. I have a canister filter for the smell and small AC. Why did they dry so fast? ive put them in jars to try to remoisten them. Any tips?

I put my fresh harvested buds in the microwave immediately after harvesting. I put the Mic on 15 seconds, run it, and then take the bud out and cool it then put it back in for 15 seconds. Repeat this process for 6 - 8 times and your bud should be dry and crispy, ready to smoke...AND IT DOESN'T HURT THE POTENCY if you do it as mentioned. In between mic'ings you should cool the bud for 15-30 seconds.

wrong.. but true at the same time.. kinda.

the longer you let the buds cure... the better they'll get.. period.

there is no debating that.. because its a fact. Ask any other experienced grower and they'll tell you the same thing I did.

peace.

for the love of god.. people.. STOP USING THE FUCKING MICROWAVE TO DRY YOUR BUDS!!!! Your totally ruining your buds by doing that. I've explained why too many times to have to explain it again. I mean, do what you want.. I'm just trying to save you some trouble, thats all.

ugghh... where are all my experienced growers at?!

yea we tried that years ago when we were kids and it was junk didnt smell or taste great kinda got you high, havent done that sence then cant ever see doing that again

I hang dry for 4-7days or when the stem snaps when I bend it. Once the stem is dry I put the bud in mason jars opening the jar 3-6 times a day for about 10mins to let the moisture escape the jar. Do that for about a week or two depending on the size of your nugs and quality. Then I just leave the bud in the jar and smoke the product.

Your humidity is too low in your dry room. it should be around 50 percent

Not true cannabis starts to degrade over time just like wine or cheese or anything else you age. I suggest you try out your own ideas before you post about them like you know something

^ i agree completely! the longer you cure the better . dont really understand people trying to rush things with the drying and curing its not worth it let it dry out properly and and sure a few weeks before smoking

got a question for ya!!!! a friend sent me a package of kush from Cali, Man the buds look like candy. but the thing that mess me up was that the buds look like they were just cut a day or two ago!!! very big nuggets, is it possable that the grower dryed them with dry ice? these were the best looking buds i have ever saw. can anyone explain the pro's & cons of drying with dryice. keep n mind that they look like they were just picked off the tree but were dryed. how can i do this?
