Do more reading around before you post, most people don't want to answer Q's they had to read around to find the answer to....not to sound like a dick at all

I have used Purple Maxx in the past and have had no significant color change whatsoever, although there was always a shit load of crystals build up....I have also used it and my plant did change color in the last few weeks of flower with decreased temp, the strain was purple cheese.

It's all about the strain...having the genetics you're looking for is going to put you where you want to be....skunks and regular hazes turning purple is a phenotype, meaning you're only going to get one or a few of that type, if not being specific to that one plant showing the traits... The results of having "the entire plant's turning purple" was from the guys getting multiple 5 GAL buckets of this stuff and bringing it up into the hills of California, all outdoor possibly even purple strains....Outdoor is more likely gonna turn your purple strain purple as well due to the natural change in the wavelength from the sun during the autumn months and temp drops, not exactly a few plants in a closet.

Bottom line- You want a purple strain? Buy a purple strain, although I would still suggest purple maxx as it is very good for THC buildup.

hope this helps

You can have purple plants for two reasons - a strain that is purple and creates purple pigments naturally, and plants that have phosphorous lockout. Phosphorous lockout can be accomplished through low temperatures as well as pH fluctuations, inadequate Mg (often due to inadequate Ca), over load of nitrogen and a few other harmful conditions. Most all purpling products intended for non purple strains are actually hurting your plants in order to accomplish this phosphorous lockout.
