I am in need of a scale so I'm guessing I will pick one up soon... But I purchased 50 bucks worth of weed "Romulan" strain and I only got a bud a bit bigger than a quarter (the coin) Just didn't strike me as a good deal... (New to weed -.-)

well depending on the quality of the weed is how u determine that.. it usually like 20-25 a gram (round about not exact) and if its the size of a quater and its pretty dense then i would say that not olny did you not get ripped off but your about to get realllly hiiiiigh! enjoy!!!

I saw that you are from Texas, so I can give you an idea of the prices here (even though it the same for most non-medical states)...

An 8th (3.5g) is usually $50 - 60. Unless it's shitty mexican brick weed.
A gram (1g obviously) is usually $15 - 20.
I've seen the shitty mexican weed (still gets the job done...) go for like $10 - 15 an 8th.

if you don't have your own scale i don't care what you paid, you are a mark. add that to the fact you don't seem to know what the local going rate is and you have sucker written all over you. it's impossible to accurately eyeball or even scale (by size) a bud that is "the size of a quarter coin", but it doesn't sound like much more than a gram, which would be a tremendous ripoff for 50 bucks anywhere in the states. get a clip handscale for about 5 bucks and weigh your shit out in front of the dealer. even if you don't know what the hell you're doing it will at least keep the dealer on his toes. if you're new to good weed, why oh why didn't you make a thread BEFORE buying the sack?
