I was told that i should transplant my 3 week old plant into a 1 gallon pot, but it looks like it's growing so well where it is :(. I hate transplanting, every time i do it, i feel like i am destroying the plant, but if a 1 gallon pot is truly best for it, i guess i will.

The title says 5gallon. but your statement says you want to transplant into a 1gallon? pot size all depend on how long you plant on vegging etc.

Less transplants is def. best. 0-1transplants are best.

new growers are terrified of transplanting when in fact it is no big deal to the plant. If you're not the type who insist on watering when they want not when the plant needs it then you could do it.

If a 1 gallon pot is what's best for the little fella, i'll do it, just wondering if it is the best for it?

oh lol no, dont do that. either stay in the 5gal or go up to the 7gallon if you will be vegging that long. 7gal pot will hold a monster :D

Well while i have this thread open, i have 1 more question. I'm growing in miracle grow moisture control that his been sitting outside for a few months, and i've heard bad things about it. I was going to go to the store to pick some stuff up, should i get some better soil and transplant into that?

If it doesn't have time release fertilizer in it, let it be. I don't think MG organics has them.

Alright, don't wanna make any unnecessary changes to it, thanks :D

Here's how it looks now, look healthy? There's some yellowish parts on it, but i think that's because i haven't fed it yet, planning on picking nutrients up tomorrow.

Let it grow a bit more before you feed. It doesn't look too hungry to me, and it takes awhile to fill 5 gallons with roots. That thing should fill in with 4 nice colas.

I don't know what maricle grow moisture control is but if it has been sitting outside for months and if you are growing inside I would probably invest into some new soil.
