I'm curious to know how long does it take for Veg. period to be complete! How many weeks?
Also how many weeks or days does it take for flower period to be complete?
I'm confused!

Wow..
veg could take however long you want it to be.Its best to wait until they mature which means they will show preflowers and alternating nodes. But even then you can veg for as long as you want.
Flower depend on strain because some indicas take 7-9 weeks and sativas take10-16 weeks what you need to look at are the trichs 50/50 mix of amber and cloudy is a great time to cut

Well I honestly have tons of room! I'm trying to grow a very large plant with a very large yield! That's why i ask how long?

the longer you veg the bigger the yield.
but, your pot size should be big enough to contain all the roots that will develop.
as far as i understand you are new to this, don't try to be a master on your first grow, you'll probably make some mistakes.
start easy.

If you dont have proper lighting, having a big plant will only make you life more difficult and probably decrese the yield. Check out the grow in my sig (I finished and harvested, but nobody seemed to be reading it, so I didnt bother finishing with harvest results). They got to be around 7 feet tall. With proper lighting and me having not fucked up, it could have been a much larger yield. In the end I got around 1-2oz per plant. You can "supposedly" get 2-3 oz from a straight from clone doing it right (dont ask me how to do it right, I have no idea, I am currently trying my first time). Some people go straight from seed 12/12, with absolutely no vegging.

Since you didnt know about veg time being however long you want it to be, its probably safe to assume you dont have a lot of experience (its okay, neither do I). Larger pots, make for a more difficult potting, more cost for soil, more hassle for moving them around. If you use nutes and are gonna flush, good luck, hope you have a good system. Ever try and move 10 gallons of water with a turkey baster? How about 40 gallons every other day for 2 weeks, I have, it SUCKED.

Basically, plants tend to produce based on the amount of lighting, not the size of the plant. If you have like 7 1000W lights for like 5 plants and you have it going around them in a dome shape, and rotate them everyday, then ya, you could probably grow some baller plants with up to like a pound per plant. They will be huge and you will probably need to tie them up, unless you have intense fans blowing on them from like every angle. In the end, everything that isnt directly under the light, will pretty much be popcorn buds. Making them bigger pretty much just gives you more popcorn to play with.

You sure that's accurate? I've understood that, depending on room setup, 5 plants need nothing more than a 400w light, anything else is overkill and a waste of energy.

So are you saying that if I use (1) 400w light set-up and I produce maybe 280gr (using lst / sog) you would be able to produce ~2800gr with the same 5 plants? under (7) 1000w lights?

I highly doubt it.

There is a limit to what a plant can produce. To suggest you can throw more light at it to produce more, is just silly.

If you take a 2 ft plant and throw 7 1000 W lights at it, then no, no you will not be getting an INSANE amount. It is when you have something like a 7ft plant and do that. When you get the 280g from 400watt, you are not fully utilizing that 7ft plant. It has the ability to produce a full pound of icky sticky, but only if given enough light. The upper branches will get some serious light, but the sides and the middles and lower branches wont get nearly enough. Light becomes 1/4th as powerful every time you double the distance.

So yes, yes I am sure that if you have a 7ft plant, the only way to fully utilize it is to have sufficient surround lighting. Each bud has the potential to become a full blown bud if given access to enough light. It head nothing to do with how far up the stalk it is (let me rephrase, every end of a branch has the same potential to be as good as any branch top on the upper parts). the reason the top buds get so bad ass is because they are given the most light.

Oh, sorry, also not counting the main cola. A main cola is going to get the biggest by far usually, especially if given enough light.
