I've ordered from Nirvana twice and both times and 2 different strains, the plants just stunted at around the same stage. There were only 2 common factors: Me and the seeds. Who was at fault? Guess we will never know.

It's so funny to see how much you hate TGA/Subcool seeds Brick....lol. All these veiled references to pretty colors and exotic aromas, and your documented disdain for TGA. You like to paint new breeders into these corners, sounding like a fuddy-duddy who's resistent to change to a fault.I have listed breeders and seed companies (in those cases not individual breeders by name) a number of times.
In no particular order
Reeferman Seeds
Shantibaba (Mr. Nice Seeds)
Serious Seeds
Sensi Seeds
De Sjamaan
Soma Seeds
Sagarmatha Seeds
Sannie's is good but most of the line just isn't my cup of tea, but his gear is still good.
I've tried a few strains from Paradise Seeds and was very well pleased, but I have not tried all that many of their strains .. Nebula was good, and even though I am not a real indica fan Sensi Star was more than just enjoyable.
I could say the same for Black Label Seeds and a couple more breeders/seed companies .. but not all that many.
Sometimes what makes me like one more than others is not a wide selection or even the most potent strains but the consistency you get. I don't care much for surprises and sometimes just being able to know you can rely on what you will get is more important to me than two more percent of THC.
When it comes to pretty colors, they are meaningless to me, as are exotic aromas when growing, and something that tastes like some fruit, tropical or otherwise, has never made me any higher just because of the flavor .. so again those things are all utterly meaningless too me. To me they are gimmicks to catch the eye of the customer because the breeder can't offer anything more tangible, not higher potency or a longer lasting more enjoyable high, they turn to pretty, pretty colors and exotic aromas and tropical fruit flavors .... basically in most cases, not all, but in most it's all just 'flash, just 'go faster stripes' to make a mundane strain appear to be unique and special and better than it actually is.
if you ask nicely, he will tell you why. it is a very interesting story. It's so funny to see how much you hate TGA/Subcool seeds Brick....lol. You're a valuable resource on RIU and master gardener, but also a true contrarian.
I'm just a newb, but I soak my seeds in ph balanced water over night. If they sink to the bottom, the should pop, if they won't sink, they're not viable. I didn't have great luck with the paper towel method, but have had a 100% germ rate by soaking the seeds then putting them directly into rock wool that has been soaked in ph'd water and clonex liquid. I got the soaking the seeds before germination from "Marijuana Grow Basics" by Jorge Cervantes. The rock wool soaked in water and clonex was my brother's suggestion and itbworks for me. Once my seeds are in the rock wool, I use a humidity dome and propagation tray with a heat mat underneath. The first time I tried to pop my seeds I used a heating mat that turned out to be too hot, same with the second attempt. My latest attempt I think that I kept the seed mixture "soaked" instead of moist. My next attempt I will try your depth and width suggestion with just moist soil with humidity. I am open to suggestions and will try different things until I run out of patients or seeds. Thank you
i left the site for 10 minutes after staring at his avatar...did you say something? To busy starring at your avatar
Do not mistake my comments about pretty colors, exotic aromas, yummy flavors etc. to only be directed towards SubCool's gear. They are gimmicks that many breeders have gone to after they hit a wall where true appreciable increases in potency ended, which happened a good while ago, and they were forced to come up with something different to catch the eye of the buyer. They no longer could offer something truly better, something that was appreciably more potent, so they went for different. It's so funny to see how much you hate TGA/Subcool seeds Brick....lol. Speaking of Blackberry seeds from Nirvana, they go on sale soon... This weekend, only 20 euros for a 5 pack of fem seeds.I can't speak for all Nirvana seeds but take a look at these cola tops of Nirvana Blackberry harvested today. Donkey dick size colas. I topped the plants at about 12" and each plant had 4 main colas which I took today along with just the tops of the rest of the branches. The 4 plants looked like 16 under the light. The rest of the plants get another week or so to finish ripening.

Do not adjust your set, that is real purple on some of the tops.
The smell is amazing. It doesn't smell like blackberries. It's like some kind of strange tropical fruit you've never smelled before that's slightly fermented. The smell alone is intoxicating. I oven dried some buds for testing and the smoke is thick (just like Nirvana advertised) and cough producing but the strange fruity taste definitely comes though. After a proper drying and curing I expect this to be among the best tasting smoke I've experienced. They grew in soil with mostly organic ferts and I flushed the bejebus out of them in the final weeks for best taste.
The high is potent somewhere between Sativa and Indica. Again, this is from wet, just picked buds so more research needs to be done after drying.
Nirvana sells seeds for less than others and they like to knock off the names of other company's strains (Jock Horror for example) so I think some people assume their genetics are second rate. I just wanted to toss in my two cents that my experience with Nirvana was entirely positive and I'm very happy with the quality of the product.
Gonna smoke some now

I had to laugh! Here I can only get 1 out of 10 to pop, and you have 2 out of 1, go figure. You should start a thread or journal so I can follow the progress of the Twins.MsBBB - You having germination problems? I've ruined my share of seeds. But take a look at these Nirvana Wonder Women. I germinated 5 seeds and got 6 seedlings! No kidding, look closely and one has a tiny little twin
This time I soaked for 24 hours in RO water PH 6.2. I don't worry about if they sink or float. Then they spent another couple of days in wet paper towels and made sure temperature was mid 70s at all times. When I had a 1/4" or more of tap root they went into rockwool with a pair of tweezers. Then two days on a plate inside a plastic bag to retain humidity. Smoke report in May
