How many inches should my light be from my plant?

Hey guys! I have a good question.
How many Inches should my light be away from my plant at all times during GROW?

Im using 1- 26watt=100watt CFL Buld.

2-3 inches should be good, how many plants are you growing?

get another bulb the same Watt i used 1 on my last grow at first then added another 1 which was a good idea lol

anyway I tend to keep them about 3 to 4 inches away an it works

Would'nt i burn the plant if it was 2-3 inches above?

People tend to make the mistake never look at the equivalent rating of the bulb its completely useless, you only have 23w's and thats it. As for the distence i have a 125w CFL actual watts not equivalent and its 2 inches away from my plants

3 or 4 inches is fine and i use 2 bulbs the beauty of Cfls is they dont give off that much heat

Thanks Guys, I kinda had a feeling it needed to be closer. I did notice the CFL bulb is not giving off that much heat and thats great! So great 2-3 is cool!
