First Grow Blue widow

So a friend of mine recently passed along some free blue widow seeds he received and I took upon myself to try and grow it.

The setup that I am currently employing is a single 50L rubbermaid tub painted white, with 3 24w 2700k cfls. I have another 24L rubbermaid tub connected on top which I will fill with carbon.

Soil is basic MG nute enhanced soil.

I have spent quite a while reading up before starting the grow but any advice and comments are welcome.

I started the grow on Sunday December the 19th using the shotglass germination method.
Basically soaked it in a shot glass until it sank, then planted it about 1/4 inch under the soil.
Also forgot to mention I added 1/3 of perlite to the MG soil.

Now Day 10 here are some more pics.

Day 18
First day of 12/12
I have noticed what looks like a little nute burn on the tips of the bottom fan leaves. Not sure what to make of it. Any ideas?
For now ill just keep an eye out for it.

Does anyone have an idea of what the burn/deficiency is?
ive looked around and it looks a bit more like a N or K deficiency but since I have MG nute release soil, Im not too sure.

Day 28 (10 of 12/12)
She has really taken off, I was considering switching to a bigger pot but I still want her to be contained in the rubbermaid container until I finish building my cabinet. Shes also been drinking like mad. Reminds me of myself on one of my drinking binges haha. For the last two days I have been watering everyday. I know I have read somewhere that I am not supposed to, but the pot is light and the soil seems bone dry every single day. The little burn in the corner of one leaf is still there, Its slowly creeping up so I might chop the leaf. Good news tho, it has not spread to any of the other leaves. Somedays I drool just imagining the end results :shock:DSC02550.jpgDSC02551.jpgDSC02554.jpgDSC02553.jpgDSC02549.jpgDSC02552.jpg

An update on my grow cabinet, 2" x 2" x 4" with a 3 light vanity fixture so far. My fan has a very low cfm rating, but seeing as it is a fairly cool room, continuing with cfls should not be a problem. I have already painted the inside white (behr expressions natural white) and am in the process of putting a lock on the door. All 250ish of my viewers are welcome to comment :p

Day 37 (19 of 12/12)
The buds have started to tighten up and I have relocated her to my new grow cabinet 95w (2 x 13w-4100k, 2 x 23w - 2700k, 1 x 23w - 6400k). Ventilation is still an issue as it gets as hot as 90F during the day and 60F during the night time. Other than that, odour has not been a major issue at all. it looks nice, just the one plant? I like to clone after a while you get to know the plant and what it likes, what are you going to do for the next round? start from seed again?

Since this was my first grow it was just an experiment. I was thinking about reveging and turning her into a mother. Get some clones and maybe start a perpetual grow :D

I have hears of people finishing a grow leaving some green on the stalk and regrowing the same plants for a second time, may work but I have never tried.
I would finish that one now looks like you are almost there

yeah haha thats what I meant by reveging. Ive been looking it up and it seems like as long as you leave one or two bud sites when you harvest and stick it back into 24/0 itll start growing.
