so newworld you suggest 14/10 for veg and then 12/12. I would love to read that study if you can find it please send me the link
I think some guy on here also did a back street experiment with the same lighting schedules and came out with the same reasoning, yeas I recommend it, costs less and gets almost the same amount of growth.

I think why people go from their chosen veg cycle to flower so abruptly is time considerations really, although your theory is mimicking the end of summer and begining of autumn, nothing wrong there.

+REP for that one thanks. OK then I cut back to 18/6 starting today, then go to 16/8 for about a month then 12/12. The feeding schedule actually calls for 18hrs of light beginning off. I was wondering why people advised 24/0 when there is no part of the world that gets 24 hrs of sunlight except for the north/south pole.

well i was in the same dalema u are in and after a few attempts i found for me 20/4 works perfect for me and come to flowering all i dids change is the light globe. left it at 20/4 even while flowering cause i bought autoflowering seeds so no need for light time changes so no interuptions or dramatic light and temp changes hope this helps a little

Yes it does help azza427 I dont have autoflowering yet so I have to go to 12/12 Cant wait to try them though I keep hearing great things about em. Like I stated earlier I know different strokes for different folks, I'm wanting just to find a workable schedule for me

Thanx guys. Just was curious. And newworld since I cut the lights back off of 24/0 to 18/6 there growing like crazy BIG DIFFERENCE. So note to self: Don't do 24/0. Learning something new everyday to make it easier is my goal. Can't wait to post next weeks pics.

Plants use the daylight to produce sugars that are metabolised during the dark period so in essence that is when the most growth activity is taking place. Even with autos. Proof is in the pudding.

Certainly is and right now I'm very pleased once I change out the rest of my cfl's to 6500k later today I think it will do that much better. This weekend I will be introducing a new neut combination so we will see how big of a difference I will see.
