okay, so we cut the branches off and stuck them in water and are waitinf for the pods to open so we can shake them and collect the pollen. any guesses on how long that might take??

Lol our males look like there just about the same flower time. Both almost ready to pop. At least I think anyways. Never done this before but Im guessing its got to be under a week till the splash.

Here are some pics of my current male, it is 28 days into flower today, it started dropping pollen yesterday. My flash was a little hot so the pics are washed out, and the one I tried without the flash is blurry because the slow shutter rate picked up my movement. I circled the open pod in a couple of pics, this is what they should look like when they are dropping. This is the same part of the plant, taken from different angles.
I could be wrong, but it looks as though you guys have a little ways to go. Notice how much more developed my pods are than in the photos of yours. If you cut them too soon and put in water, they will never open up.
Hope that helps,

Here are a couple more, I know the one is basically the same, just a little better light. The other one with the writing is from another part of the plant, wanted to show what they look like just before they drop. Final shot is the pollen I collected today, that is enough to get several hundred seeds if done correctly with a paint brush, but I will continue to collect over the next few days just to be safe. Store pollen in a air tight bag, in the freezer, and it should stay viable indefinitely, as long as you keep it dry.

found my first early bloomer,it all most got me. moved my last male from the room last nite. looked it over today and that fucker started blooming all over. to top it off the male i chopped and put in water is not blooming yet,and it had two weeks on the other male. looking like the cutn them and puting them in water is a bad idea.

I've got a male doing exactly the same thing - however, I did make him male by spraying with Colloidal Silver before switching to 12/12.
Since I stopped spraying the CS it has decided that it wants to revert to female.
