and another reason for them being clipped is because the leaves get to big and then get to heavy for the branch to support cus i mean these things get as big as my hand...

and also the fan leaves get to big for the branch to support to the branch tends to start to bend because i mean the fan leaves get as big as my hand!...is that normal?

yeah depending on the strain larger leaves are normal. Good luck with your (hopefully) lady friend ;)

As far as starting the flowering, do it. The general rule of thumb is that your plant will triple its size after starting the flowering stage. Considering you have the aerogarden, you're pretty much height limited (unless you detach the hood).

Are you using any additional lighting? and what kind of nutrients are you using?

you shouldnt clip the fan leaves, theres no need it just leaves room for an "infection" in the plant and it stresses the plant out, if you want a bushier plant LST it

and yes its normal for them to get that big, it depends on the strain also; buds weighing down your plant is all you might have to worry about (if they get big enough) not large fan leaves

the only reason to ever clip a fan leaf would either be that its in the way of a buds light( even then i wouldnt i would just tie it down) or its almost dead so the plants energy isnt wasted trying to save the leaf

What this guy said.

Never heard about clipping the leaves for growth, but like he said, sounds dangerous and prone to infection. Use LST to get that effect. Also, the bigger the better when it comes to fan leafs. Better to apply stakes and add support if you need than remove leaves. Remember, those fan leaves are VITAL to bud growth. Only time i ever remove a leaf is, well never. Sometimes the very low leaves might turn yellow and dry and shrivel up, but if it doesn't come off with a VERY gentle tug i even leave those ones on.

also, i would start the flowering; i grew my first plant in an aerogarden using the light it came with the whole time, i started the flowering roughly at the same height u have right now and still had to tie down the buds to keep them out of the light when it grew
you can always tie down the buds without harming the plant or stressing it what so ever and have great results
my aerogarden grow, first grow i have ever done with aerogarden lights yielded 57g crispy dry, i didnt even know what curing was back then so i overdried it and it still came out to 57grams of preem
