Turning purple / blue color

I'm not sure if this is a problem or not but I have my babies 6 weeks into flowering & just noticed the leaves on this one (and only this one) beginning to change to a dark purple/blue kinda color a few days ago. This is my first grow & I got the seeds from a buddy who said it's medi shit from Cali. All the plants are healthy & budding nicely so I'm hoping this color change is a trait of the strain. Anybody have any ideas or know what strain this may be??

Also, at the very tip top there is a hard, reddish thing that looks like a split seed. It's the only one on the whole plant. I pulled the male from the group over a month ago so there is no fetilizing going on. Could this be a seed? Appreciate any help!

awwww. want pics!! dont worry, you got some nice shit! more likely than not. i really really want to grow some purp, envious would put it correctly.

as far as i can tell it defo looks like mag, put a a table spoon of epsom salts into a gallon of your feed. I would then suggest that you take a litre of water and add a pinch or two of epsom salts along with a drop of dish soap and spray the undersideand top of your leaves just as the lights are coming on. Another member said this on a forum and it seemed to do the trick.

that looks alot like mag deficiency, possibly k def. that does look like a seed on the top. a closer pic would make i easier to tell. did the male shed any pollen before you removed it?

If it were a problem with the mag level it seems like it would affect all of the plants, not just this one. They all get the exact same treatment- nutes, temp, lights & time. I'm really hoping it's just the strain & I got a random GOOD seed when I planted. The lighting was bad in this pic but under the grow lights it is PURPLE!! I'll try the epsom salt & see if that helps with the color. Those large fan leaves will be ready to fall off very soon so it may be too late to do any good so far into flowering. I don't know my ph, I'm just a noob so not too advanced yet as far as ph & nutes go. As for the seed thing on top....I took the male out the second I could see balls developing so it shouldn't have had a chance to get any pollen out. I tried getting a closer pic but my iphone wouldn't focus. If the "seed" does anything else I'll snap a pic & post. Thanks!!!

Are all of the plants clones from the same mother? If not, then all bets are off as far as treatment and nutrients go. You would be close, but each individual might want more or less of something than another. My first harvest went purple/blackish on me. In my case I think it was genetics coupled with low temps at night. I will say this....the purple colored leaves I had, looked nothing like what you have. I'm not sure what your issue really is, but I doubt it's genetic or temperature related.

I started with seeds. One was from a bag I had, the others were from two different bags from a buddy who they were medicinal stuff from Cali. If he didn't mix them up or throw in a stranger than this one has two thriving sisters that look nothing alike...they are much taller & green. I am growing in an interior closet so temp shouldn't get below 65 at night & they are on from noon til midnight with a 24 hr fan.

Well let this be a valuable lesson to all, take clones from any plant retains the genetic. peace!

I cloned 1 sativa & 1 indica 11 days ago but never considered cloning this one until I saw the colors. I actually took these pics when I had it out for cutting the clones. I really hope they take because my first ones are looking not so good. There is just so much to read about cloning & everybody has an opinion...too much water, not enough humidity, warm, cool, low light, no light yada yada yada. My clones are in another closet, in soil 3 to a planter with 2 liter bottle cut in half covering them and an aquarium fluoro (blue) for light. I'm doin it hillbilly style! I really would be happy if just 1 of each stain survived so I can have them for mamas, I can perfect the cloning later

This is sods law my friend, I have done that many times. I once rue'ed not taking a clone from a plant that later flowered into a single central cola that weighed.....wait for it...312g wet!!!!! I cried that month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS. I have found that if a clone is taken after flowering has been induced and pistils are everywhere, start the light schedule the same as the mother taken from...12/12 and then increase the light period over the next week or so, helps to reduce stress on the cutting. Flowering induced clones in my experience take double the time to root, this was in aero with all the crap in harmony etc. But there is a lot of variance though.

I actually started my clones with single leaves (I waited too long into flowering). The ones I did 11 days ago are looking kinda puny but not dead. I'm gonna take a little better care in the moisture department of the clones I took from the purp (?)...they still look fine.

Dont mist too much but cut a plastic bottle in half and put that over it.

That is exactly what I am doing newworld. I just need to get the moisture figured out without killing my babies!
