an experienced electrician, Iam5toned, once said that CFL's are nothing more than HO T5's with an internal ballasts. It boils down to the lumen output, and your needs. the T5 will probably cover a larger space, but the CFL is 130% more powerful, so it will probably be more benficial in that regard.

While you did acknowledge Concord's grow, most of your post was asking about your grow, and it was the first time you posted in his thread. This is what is called thread hijacking, and some people do not take kindly to that. Concord is pretty laid back and probably wont mind, but it is his thread and you should respect that. you should start anew thread when you have questions similar to that and you will get more answers that way.

cd's grow is amazing but nowhere near 2 pounds per plant

I guess I should have been clearer..my bad. I mean quality wise. KoMa's grow style is completely different than CD's. For growing weed in a box...lol. I feel that this will set a benchmark. Now if CD had the time and resources that KoMa did..who knows brother. To me they are both growing some pretty sic weed. I find it exceptional in that its done in a box, using cfl's. I will try to be clearer in the context in which I speak from now on.

You should try and just plant direct in soil if they gave you problems before. dont know if you seen this before, but it is full of info.back when i was having so much trouble with seeds i found this and switched to his method of starting seeds and have never had a problem since. and it only takes like 2-2.5 days for sproutage.

thanks gumball, i've never had a problem before till those 2 seeds, i just dont know what happened. auto's will be my next grow after im done with the kk clone, so maybe i'll try that. ive always thought, theres no one out in nature putting the seeds in a wet paper towel and then planting them, they just fall on the ground and start growing, LoL.

thanks gumball, i dont mind but i would never just go around pushing my thread, i may post a pic or 2 only because its related to the question or subject being discussed and everyone knows i love posting links, LoL. but thanks c4. and its saturday, slept til 1:30, LoL. i heard that a cfl is just a coiled up t-5, i still wouldnt mid getting a few 2 or 3 footers for the corners for more side lighting though.

bro, i wish i could use one of our extra bedrooms, dam son, look out then, LoL. but its my sister house and im lucky to be doing what i am. and i am very happy with my little ghetto setup, the first few grows with bag seeds were just to get ready for this grow right here and so far, its everything i expected, only better, LoL. thanks a lot man!!

its day 77, 11 weeks from when they sprouted. the buds are getting fatter, i just gave then the last of week 10 nutes and will mix up a new batch in a bit. every thing looks great, a few brown tips here and there but nothing to worry about. grassy is 37 days old today and looking fine, she looks like she's gonna start budding, i know she wants to, LoL, and blade is growing just fine also. oh yeah, that one pic is of the KK where the stalk split from pulling down to much, but it didnt affect her at all as all buds are still getting bigger.

ok, its day 78 which means its been 6 weeks of flowering, just 2 more to go on the rocklock and i cant fucking wait, im going nuts wanting to smoke some of this shit!!!! LoL. im gonna trim some of the small leaves off and make a chip of hash or whatever it is and press it and smoke it real soon here. there are a few trichs on the rocklock that are starting to turn amber, just 1 or 2 here and there, so it cant be long. i bought a few fiber stakes for the KK cause there getting fatter and i dont want them falling over or on to a bulb and messing them up, that would suck big time, LoL.

these pics are from just now after the lights shut off so the flash went off and they look sooo good!! i am so happy with the way these babies are turning out, you just dont know, LoL. grassy is bustin out, she wants to start flowering now and it looks like she will have 4 main colas. i went to walmart again and i got this true-air odor eliminator, its was only $15 and a 3 pack of carbon filters is only $8, so i hope this works, my buddy walked in the front door today and goes, dam bro, the smell, so yes, its getting bad and filling the whole house, LoL. i dont mind it at all, but i had to do something. this thing just plugs in the wall and will be great cause it will right where all the exhaust fans are blowing out from both boxes.

well my sister just got back from the store and walk in and said, hey do you smell anything? she oh no, wow, that little thing really works. so i guess it does, i dont smell it either and im in the room, so we give it 2 thumbs up!! LoL. not bad for $15 and if she didnt even think about the smell when she walked in, it must work. it measures about 6" x6" and about 3" deep, it has a plug on the back as to plug right into the wall, so there is no cord but i just plugged it into the extension cord on top of my veg box for the timer and its just laying there.
