I am a cheap bastard and i like to save as much $ as possible. Can i just cut a 2 litre bottle in half anduse it as apot or would i have to spray paint it black?

planting it directly into the ground is more effective then that. your plants are all gonna be rootbound and suffer in yield and size

I start my plants in solo cups and then transplant to 5 gallon buckets when they are ready to go out

I plan on using plastic party cups to start off with, those are pretty cheap, but if you gotta save the 3 dollars them i dont see why pop bottles wouldnt work

plastic party cups are the way to go, its also easy to transplant them out of it without damaging roots.
