but hes slightly retarded so i dont know
i know theres sugar in molasses and thats the main reason people use it right?
so can i use regular sugar mixed in some water to give buds some boost? i dont think it sounds impossible, but at the same time it seems kinda...stupid

Marijuana can not absorb complex carbohydrates, bacteria can and if your in soil it could help break down shit in the dirt, if you got good bacteria going, but your right it is stupid..Sugar and molasses can not do too much for weed it's self, come on now....JR

Molassess has sugar in it and yes thats one of the reasons why we use it,,, but the main main reason to why is cuz it ups the plants motabilizum , it wont do mush at all just on its own,, you would have to add it to your ferts or nutes,,, if you are not goin to use molassess then i would use BROWN SUGAR... but in my opinion use Molassess and i dont think its stupid, haha it works like a beauty for my girls,, try it for your self

idk there will be mixed opinions.

Ive tried adding sugar in water during flower. i picked 2 plants, same strain, growing at the same rate.

1 had sugar added in the water, 1 didnt. to me the 1 with sugars seemed to grow more viguourously during flower then the other. I cant say for sure it was the sugar, but if an experiment was done like this with 50 plants, same strain, 1/2 with sugar 1/2 without. and see the results. see which control group is more successful, or if there is even a diffrence.

id say hell why not throw in a pinch of sugar into the water every now and then, it might help, it will never hurt your plants.

so adding sugar in the regular water is just a waste of time? it wouldnt do no good?
wonder if it would harm the plant though. gotta try on the second run

no. do not put sugar into your soil. it'll attract bugs.

you can put a little molasses mixed into water, like a tblspoon per gallon...and add it once a week to the soil.... that helps the beneficial bacteria, etc etc etc.....

but don't go putting a lb of sugar on your soil though........

well a spoon behind a spoon behind a spoon becomes a cup...

a little molasses helps.... i would add a spoonful of molasses every 3 feedings..... and i saw the buds bulge.... i don't know if it's b/c it helped the PH (molasses is acidic) or b/c of the bacteria... i just know the buds got bigger less than 4 hours after i first added molasses...

also, remember that after you prepare a nute solution, you HAVE TO TEST THE PH. when you add molasses the mixture tends to be acidic, so less than a spoonful gets you to the 6.5 ph..... if you do a whole spoonful the mixture just gets too acidic and you risk creating a PH imbalance which completely counters the whole reasoning for adding molasses in the first place....

its a brown goo that comes from sugar refinement.

it's used to make a malt beverage popular in south america, in baking, and there's probably ppl that use it for all sorts of twisted reasons....

I do NOT use sugar. Nor plain molasses. If you research it a bit more, you will find that you should specifically use unsulfured blackstrap molasses. As previously said, you are feeding the beneficial micro-organisms, not the plant itself. When these organisms are fed, they multiply, and they help the plant break down/absorb the nutrients more efficiently that are in the soil. Many people claim that it sweetens the bud as well, which could well be the case also. 1 Tablespoon per gallon should do the trick, about every other watering is how I do it, but only the last couple weeks of flowering. I don't want to attract bugs. :)
